Keegan had not intended to give Raven an elixir tablet without a catalyst, but dire circumstances left him no choice. Raven’s mental domain was damaged. If it was not repaired soon, Raven could lose not only her consciousness but also her abilities as a Starborne,
“I must find that herb as soon as possible,” Keegan muttered to himself.
But that medicinal plant had long since vanished from Forreb, disappearing without a trace for decades. The chances of it existing in other realins were even slimmer.
Keegan, George, and Carroll had searched exhaustively for so long, yet returned empty–handed. That alone spoke volumes about just how rare and irreplaceable the herb was–no ordinary plant could serve as a substitute.
“If we can’t find it within six months, I’ll have no choice but to try something else. But unless it’s absolutely necessary, I really don’t want to go down that path.”
Keegan sighed softly, carefully placing the freshly sorted herbs into a vacuum–sealed case. “My poor disciple has been through hell already–one more blow might destroy her,” he muttered.

Meanwhile, at the Cherry family’s estate.
Raven had just learned from Timonthy that the mysterious man who had set her up had been captured. She was preparing to return to the Cloudshadow Sect’s stronghold to interrogate him personally.
But as Raven stepped into the living room, she was met with a squad of uniformed inspectors, their presence imposing and aggressive.
At the same moment, Mack and Leonard descended the staircase, both wearing bright smiles.
“Officers, you’ve finally arrived,” Mack said warmly.
“Hello.” The leader of the inspection team gave a polite nod to Mack and Leonard.
“Congratulations–word is Mr. Felipe Cherry has won the favor of Lady Valor of the Cloudshadow Sect. Don’t forget to send us a few invitations when the time comes, so we can share in the joy,” he said.
“That’s for sure,” Leonard said with a wide grin, his expression one of smug satisfaction. “It will be a grand event, and we’d be honored if you could join us at the wedding of my son and Lady Valor.”
“But let’s handle business first,” the inspector said, scanning the room. “Where’s the criminal who caused the incident at the suburban hospital? You said you located her?”
“Of course–she’s right here. There’s no chance of her escaping,” Mack said hastily.
Never before had Mack been treated with such reverence by the city’s enforcers. To stand now beneath their respectful eyes filled Mack with a long- overdue sense of triumph.
Gone were the days when he would bow his head and tread lightly before these officials. The tide had turned. But now, the roles had reversed–they were the ones flattering and catering to him.
With Lady Valor as part of the family, the Cherry family’s status in Frihamen City was now unshakable.
In response to the inspector’s question, Mack pointed at Raven and said, “It’s her. She’s the one who murdered a doctor and injured medical staff and bodyguards at the suburban hospital.
“Once I discovered her crimes, I pretended to cooperate and allowed her to stay in my estate temporarily so that she wouldn’t flee, then I immediately called the police.

Raven’s gaze turned colder at his words, and Mack noticed her expression. With a sneer, he raised his brows in mockery, as if Raven were fout i than a bothersome clown.
