Chapter 815
Timonthy was slightly stunned, thinking, ‘She answered so quickly and decisively… she must have memorized a large amount of information in advance
Since the call was on speakerphone, the surrounding executives also heard the answer. One after another, they gestured for Timanthy to ask a more
difficult question.
So Timonthy continued, “One more question, Lady Valor, can you tell me the password to the classified section of our sect’s archives? I want to look up some materials, but can’t remember the specially encrypted thirteen–digit password.”
This was a trap. The password to the classified section of the archives was not some specially encrypted thirteen–digit code, as Timonthy claimed. If Raven casually made up a thirteen–digit number, it would confirm their suspicions.
After the question was asked, there was a long silence on the other end of the line.
The executives‘ faces darkened all at once. They were almost certain that Raven was a fake. At the same time, the man who had been detained started showing a look of relief, as though he had narrowly escaped death.
Unfortunately, the cold voice that came from the phone in the next moment froze that smile on his face.
Raven said, “The classified section of the Cloudshadow Sect’s archives can only be accessed by me. The password is my fingerprint. Are you trying to incite rebellion by asking about classified information?”
The minds of all the executives went blank. That voice and that tone were exactly their Lady Valor’s.
Timonthy was so frightened that he nearly dropped the phone. He immediately tried to explain, “Lady Valor, I was wrong. I didn’t mean to inquire about classified documents, I just…”
But he couldn’t finish the sentence. His mind scrambled to come up with an excuse, but before he could say anything more, the call ended with a harsh beeping tone.
Pale with terror, Timonthy stared at his phone screen and then looked around at the other executives in despair. “She… she is Lady Valor, without a doubt!”
And it wasn’t just him. None of the other executives dared to question Raven’s identity anymore. Her powerful presence could be felt even through the phone.
They had doubted their leader. They were doomed. If Raven decided to hold them accountable, not even high–ranking executives like them would escape punishment.
“You bastard!” Timonthy slammed the table and stormed over to the man, raising his hand and slapping him hard across the face.
Half the man’s face swelled up, and several of his teeth came loose. Before he could even cry out in pain, another slap landed, and then another.
Timonthy cursed, “You dared deceive us? You made us question Lady Valor and reveal internal secrets of the Cloudshadow Sect? You were trying to sow discord so she would punish us!
“Two of you, drag him to the crocodile pit. I’ll teach you the price of lying to us!”
Still shaken, Timonthy took out all his rage on the man. As he was dragged out of the interrogation room by two Cloudshadow Sect members, the man still wore a dazed expression, as if he had no idea what had just happened.
The man was baffled. That person had told him/that parts of Raven’s memory had been erased.
Even if Raven was the leader of the Cloudshadow Sect, she shouldn’t remember everything. Yet, she answered Timonthy’s questions so fluently
The man thought Raven anticipated being interrogated and prepared in advance. Or her answers were just wild guesses that happened to be right.
