Chapter 838
Felipe pointed at the Inspection Bureau commander with contempt and shouted, “You refuse to arrest those two bastards just because the Cloudshadow Sect’s leader isn’t in Frihamen City. You think I have no one to back me up?”
He added, “Just wait until I marry her. Then we’ll see if you still dare to look down on me!
“I’ll remember what happened today, and one day I’ll make you pay back every bit of it, with interest. You’ll regret your foolishness today more than anything!”
He continued, “A dignified commander of the Inspection Bureau, blinded by the charms of a low–born woman, disobeying my orders… you’re finished!”
To this point, Felipe still naively believed the Inspection Bureau commander was favoring Raven because he was smitten by her beauty.
“Just wait. Anyone who goes against my orders never ends well!” With that, he clutched his injured right hand and marched proudly out of the room.
The Inspection Bureau commander, having just been thoroughly berated, looked at Felipe’s arrogant back and smirked coldly.
Felipe kept insisting the Cloudshadow Sect’s leader would protect him, but he had no idea who that “low–born woman” he insulted truly was.
He claimed to be the fiancé of Lady Valor, but he didn’t recognize the real Lady Valor. And worse, he cursed her out with the most vulgar words. With behavior like this, he still dreamed of marrying into the Cloudshadow Sect. What a joke.
The commander was actually looking forward to the day when Felipe and the Cherry family finally discovered the truth.
The more arrogant they were now, the worse their fall would be.
Meanwhile, outside the entertainment club, Raven and Cassian were walking slowly, hand in hand.
“Darling, did you reveal your identity to those people?” Cassian asked curiously, still puzzled over how Raven had managed to get away from the Inspection Bureau so easily.
Cassian frowned. “Otherwise, why were they so afraid of you?”
“No, I didn’t,” Raven shook her head.
She wasn’t sure what had happened either. All she remembered was drinking some water offered by a strange young man while in custody. Then a wave
of exhaustion hit her, and she blacked out.
When she woke up, most of the Inspection Bureau officers were either dead or injured, and even the commanding officer was trembling and begging for
forgiveness.
Raven said, “I don’t really know what’s going on myself. But now that we’re back, my priority is to help restore your health. After that, we’ll figure out our
next steps.”
Raven had already decided not to reveal her identity for the time being. The Valor family was currently a mess of internal strife, and if they found out she had returned to Forreb, it would only cause more chaos.
More importantly, Cassian’s condition absolutely couldn’t be exposed to outsiders.
After discovering the issue with his body, she had consulted a psychologist, who told her that the best outcome would be a fusion of his primary and secondary personalities, not one erasing the other.
Fortunately, neither of the two personalities had shown an intent to eliminate the other. Although they occasionally got jealous of each other, they’d
never gone that far.

Chapter 838
Because Cassian’s split was caused by a mishap during cultivation, not ordinary psychological trauma, traditional hypnosis and therapy methods weren’t effective on him.
Raven vaguely remembered an ancient text that described a similar condition, but the treatment was extremely complicated. Even she wasn’t confident in pulling it off. Perhaps when she met Keegan again, she could ask if he knew of a cure.
But just thinking about Keegan gave her a headache.
She’d somehow gained four masters and had no memory of any of them. It was more than suspicious.
“Cassian, do you recognize any of those so–called masters of mine?” she asked tentatively. The two had known each other for years. If even he didn’t remember them, something was wrong.
