Benson had finally found a moment when Cassian was alone, and he wasn’t about to let it slip by. Despite knowing full well that he couldn’t beat Cassian, he refused to give up.
He snatched the club from the ground and, as Cassian’s back was turned, swung it hard at the back of his head.
Just as the iron rod was about to strike, Cassian suddenly raised his arm and, without turning, firmly grabbed the other end of it.
“Damnit! Let go of me!”
Benson shouted, panic evident in his voice. He pulled with all his strength to wrench the rod free, but the difference in their strength was too significant,
and he was shoved to the ground.
When Cassian turned his head, his eyes were filled with a cold, menacing aura, as if he had transformed into a completely different person. Even his voice
took on a darker tone.
“Didn’t I tell you not to come over if you don’t want to die?”
“Who… who are you?” Benson’s voice trembled, panic setting in. The man in front of him was nothing like the Cassian he had seen just moments ago- there was a completely different presence about him.
“Who am I?” Cassian paused for a moment, standing in front of Benson. His previously cold, lethal aura suddenly froze.
He squinted slightly, a sharp pain suddenly stabbing at the back of his head. The cold, murderous intent that had filled his eyes faded away, and when he opened them again, his demeanor was completely relaxed, as if nothing had changed.
“You…”
Benson noticed Cassian’s shift within a minute, but there was no time to dwell on it. Fearful and desperate, he jumped into his jeep, slammed the gas pedal, and sped away in a frantic escape.
Benson thought, ‘Cássian is definitely hiding something! But the difference in strength is too great right now. This isn’t the time to fight him.
