Chapter 920 

In Forreb, the social hierarchy between cities was rigid and deeply entrenched. Someone from a quasi–secondary city certainly had the standing to flaunt their power in front of people like them. 

The bodyguards surrounded Cassian, waiting for an opportunity to attack. They did not expect him to fight back just now, and they were thus caught off guard and hit. 

Cassian’s strength was sufficient to handle ordinary bodyguards. However, fighting against many elite bodyguards from a quasi secondary city at once was a challenge. 

He was tense, not daring to relax even for a moment. He knew too well that if he revealed even the slightest flaw, the men before him would immediately subdue him. 

After a dozen or so exchanges, Cassian gradually began to fall behind. “Damn it!“He dodged a punch flying at his face and kicked at the opponent’s abdomen, but the bodyguard avoided it easily. 

“Is this guy insane? How dare he fight with someone from a quasi–secondary city?” 

“That woman clearly comes from a major family in a quasi–secondary city. The bodyguards she brought with her are all extraordinary. This guy seriously doesn’t know what’s good for him.” 

“Precisely! Getting noticed by a wealthy young lady like that is an honor. And he still has the nerve to act all aloof? What is he pretending?” 

The patrons in the surroundings watched Cassian struggle against the bodyguards,whispering and pointing at him, but clearly none of them thought he could escape the woman’s grasp. 

After all, they were just ordinary citizens from a tertiary city. And in Forreb, tertiary cities were the lowest–ranking cities. Even the most prestigious families in Frihamen City had to show respect when facing people from higher–ranking cities. 

Just as everyone thought Cassian would not last much longer and would be dragged away by the bodyguards, suddenly, a figure flashed past in front of their eyes. A split second later, wails of agony rang out all around them. In the next second, everyone heard miserable screams. 

“Thud!” In an instant, the bodyguards who had been so aggressive toward Cassian collapsed onto the ground in unison, groaning in pain, their faces twisted with agony. Cassian looked up and saw Raven, gracefully standing protectively before him. At her feet were the seriously injured bodyguards she had taken down instantly. 

Cassian heaved a sigh of relief, walking toward Raven and wrapping his arm around her waist. Looking at the stunned, seductive woman, he said coldly, “I’ve told you that I’m married, but you just wouldn’t listen.” 

“Bastard! You won’t have her soon!” The woman’s expression distorted with rage as she lunged at Raven, her hand aiming a deadly strike straight at Raven’s throat. 

She was completely unhinged with fury. Even in her own city, no one dared oppose her like this. Now this tertiary city’s tramp dared to steal her man and had even publicly humiliated her by beating up her bodyguards. She found it unacceptable.’I have to teach this brazen wench a lesson,‘ she thought. 

In her mind, she thought that once she killed this woman and showed Cassian her strength, he would finally submit. After all, she was set to inherit her family’s business empire, and countless outstanding, men were dying to marry into her family, but she did not choose any of them. 

Now that she had set her sights on Cassian, it was a once–in–a–lifetime opportunity for him. ‘Marrying me would save him at least 20 years of hard work. What man would say no to that?‘ she thought. 

In the blink of an eye, she had reached Raven. Her hand was mere inches from Raven’s neck, but Raven just tilted her body to the side, easily dodging the strike. She then raised her leg and landed a sharp kick directly into the woman’s abdomen, sending her flying backward. 

With a bang, the seductive woman’s body slammed into the coffee table behind her, shattering the glass bottles on it into pieces.
