Chapter 18 Disgusted
Chapter 18 Disgusted
Vivienne sighed inwardly.
What was happening? Sebastian and Jonathan were the ones who made her mad. She wasn’t taking it out on the innocent Dr. Kingsley.
Frederick put away the medical exam form and looked at her, horrified.
Vivienne apologized, “Sorry, Dr. Kingsley. I didn’t know you were here.”
With his hands behind his back, Frederick gave an amicable smile.
He observed Vivienne’s outfit secretly.
In a foreign-style blouse, an old-fashioned pair of jeans, and stilettos, she looked competent, elegant, and charming.
“Have you been job hunting?”
Vivienne nodded. The bitter smile on her face didn’t reach her eyes.
Frederick figured it didn’t go well.
He squeezed his medical exam form thoughtfully and changed the subject.
“Care to grab a bite together?”
Eager to call Celina and see how she was, Vivienne declined his invitation.
Frederick didn’t insist and watched her leave.
When a lean hand waved before him, he finally regained his senses.
“Idling around?”
“Not as idle as you. You came to the emergency room almost an hour ago and still haven’t gone back. Roderick had to fill in for you.”
Frederick ignored him and looked again in the direction where Vivienne had left.
Daniel followed his gaze. “She’s lukewarm toward you.”
Frederick retorted, “Warm, sometimes.”
But he couldn’t let others know about it.
Daniel commented, “So, she’s capricious.”

Frederick was lost for words.
Abruptly, he said, “I need to make a phone call.”
He remarked in a solemn and blunt tone on the phone, “Two tasks for you…”
Frederick hung up and put his phone in his pocket. When he turned around, he was his amiable and graceful self again.
Daniel didn’t leave.
The two of them went to high school together and were related. Formality wasn’t necessary between them.
Daniel said, “I understand the first task you gave to your subordinate. You don’t know what kind of help she needs. So, you asked someone to follow her to help her anytime. But an investment of billions of dollars? In an unfamiliar field?”
Frederick raised his brows and chuckled carelessly, “It’s a toy for her.”

Vivienne called Celina as soon as she walked out of the emergency building.
Celina answered almost immediately and suggested they have lunch together.
Vivienne assumed Jonathan’s mom had left the villa.
Sebastian and Jonathan knew Vivienne wouldn’t abandon Celina, so they asked the old lady to leave in advance.
Those two despicable assholes!
Vivienne and Celina decided to meet at Maison Aurelia.
Celina put on makeup and an outfit that improved her countenance.
But her sunken eyes told Vivienne how much she’d suffered in the past three days.
The sight of her saddened Vivienne immensely.
They understood each other well. Celina didn’t mention her sufferings, and Vivienne didn’t tell her she compromised. They dined merrily.
Something occurred to Celina.
She asked Vivienne quietly, “At the Seraphic Radiance dinner, did you really strip Eliza naked?”
She didn’t believe it.
Eliza stained the only dress Vivienne’s mom had made for her. It was understandable even if Vivienne killed her for it.
But she wouldn’t strip Eliza naked and have men take photos of her.
Chapter 18 Disgusted
Celina swore on her life that Vivienne wouldn’t stoop so low.
Vivienne replied honestly, “I let her keep her nubra and leggings. How I regret it.”
Celina smiled, gratified. She knew Vivienne wasn’t capable of that. But then, they had a problem.
“Vivi, everyone is saying Eliza was stripped completely naked. And many men took photos of her.”
Surprised, Vivienne’s eyelashes fluttered slightly.
She had only meant for Eliza to know the horror of having strangers barging in. It was just mental torment.
She had paid a waitress to guard the room. No man was allowed in except for Sebastian.
How come Eliza was completely naked? Who were the men taking photos of her?
Vivienne remembered the provocative smirk Eliza had given at the hospital.
“Cece, I gotta go.”
After paying the bill, she left Maison Aurelia.
She wanted to hire a private detective. Sadly, she didn’t know any..
Kimberly used to take care of things like this before.
[ust then, a man wearing a cap, with a camera around his neck, walked past her.
Their eyes met.
Vivienne guessed what he was up to, and the man surveyed her.
Neither of them looked away. Both of them tried to figure each other out.
Since they were alone, the man whispered, “Affair investigation, background check, lost items locating, trackdown, commercial investigation, legal evidence collection. How may I help you?”
Vivienne’s eyes sparkled.
The private detective was surprisingly efficient.
He located the waitress at the Seraphic Radiance dinner in less than an hour.
Vivienne took her to St. Avalon Hospital.
Eliza was asleep. Sebastian wouldn’t let Vivienne go into the ward. He said they could talk in the lounge of the VIP section.

The waitress was more scared to see his stern face.
I won’t dare to lie. Ms. Lancaster paid me $3,000 for guarding the door. No man could go in except for you.
Two minutes later, Ms. Benton opened the door slightly from inside and promised to give me $15,000 as long as I did what he said.”
ebastian furrowed.
Ms. Benton asked me to take away her remaining clothes and put them together with her dress. Then, she told me to spread he news that there was a surprise for everyone in the men’s lounge. I wasn’t allowed to stop men who wanted to enter the
oom.”
ebastian looked coldly down at the waitress and demanded, pointing at Vivienne, “Did she ask you to lie? How much did she ay you this time?”
Huh!” Vivienne sneered. “Sebastian, your bias makes me sick!”
ebastian’s pupils contracted.
Disgust and disappointment were plain in Vivienne’s eyes.
he announced lightly with hate, “You like her so much? You can go to hell with her!”
After Vivienne left, Sebastian’s face turned icy.
liza was awake when he came back to the ward.
he’d woken up in tears.
