Chapter 25 My Crazy Ex-Husband
“Yes. You gave me a golden bell, and I’m giving you a gift in return. Isn’t that normal?”
Vivienne didn’t think too much and handed the men’s watch to Frederick.
Frederick received the gift, and his breathing became faster, and his eyes were full of excitement.
He clearly felt his heart racing.
“A watch?”
Vivienne replied calmly, “You’re a doctor, and I think it’s convenient for you to check the time.”
‘Can I wear it now?”
Now? Vivienne thought Frederick was like a child, so excited to receive gifts.
Vivienne said, “Sure.”
Frederick put on the watch Vivienne gave him, a sense of satisfaction and happiness welling up in his chest. He looked at the watch carefully.
Harriett suddenly said, “It’s Lunaris’ pink instant camera. I really like it.”
Frederick withdrew his gaze from Harriett, said casually, “Lunaris’ children’s camera is very classic. Many foreign children
also use it.”
Vivienne replied, “Unfortunately, Lunaris’ subsequent technology couldn’t keep up, and it has almost disappeared from the
narket now.”
‘My friend is a manager of Lunaris Technologies. There’s some inside information. Do you want to hear it?” Frederick asked.
Vivienne was curious and nodded.
Frederick said, “Halecroft Group has acquired Lunaris Technologies.”
Vivienne was shocked. “Halecroft Group doesn’t make electronic products, nor does it have semiconductor businesses. Why did they acquire Lunaris?”
“Well…” Frederick didn’t continue.
Vivienne couldn’t keep calm anymore.
If Halecroft Group took over Lunaris’ chip production line, it would definitely recruit chip engineers. Her job opportunity would come then!
In Rose Manor.
Sebastian was in a good mood tonight.
It was not only because Vivienne was going to give him a watch, but more because this meant Vivienne was going to back down.
This was like a knight finally taming a fierce horse. Sebastian felt a sense of achievement.
Jonathan came with bad news.
“Vivienne is now living in Crownvale Estates.”
Sebastian’s brows furrowed.
Crownvale Estates was not a place where people could live if they only had money.
They needed to inspect assets and provide a credit report and a clean criminal record to buy the house.
Even if Celina wanted to help Vivienne, she couldn’t possibly come up with millions of dollars for Vivienne to live in Crownvale Estates.
‘Where did she get the money? Did you find out?” Sebastian’s voice was cold.
‘Yeah, gambling! That woman is quite impressive, gambling with those guys from Mistveil Alley. She won over 3 million
dollars.”
Upon hearing Mistveil Alley, Sebastian stood up abruptly, grabbed his suit jacket, and headed to the parking lot.
Mistveil Alley was a place where even the police dared not go alone.
Everyone there was powerful and had special skills.
It was said they were organized, secretly doing all kinds of illegal things to protect their family’s interests.
How dare Vivienne mess with them? She was asking for trouble!
Sebastian stepped on the gas. The car drove away from Rose Manor like a rocket.
Eliza took Lucinda downstairs from the second floor, and just saw Sebastian’s car leave.
‘It’s so late. Where did Sebastian go?”
She asked Jonathan, who was scrolling through his phone on the couch.
Jonathan didn’t even raise his head and said, “Go to Crownvale Estates to find Vivienne.”
Lucinda wasn’t happy to hear this.
“Why does Dad go to find Mom? He won’t forget that he has to send me to Sunshine Meadows Academy tomorrow, right? Eliza, Eliza?”
Lucinda looked up at Eliza’s face and was scared by her expression.
Eliza’s lowered eyelashes cast a heavy shadow at the bottom of her eyes. Her eyes were dark, and her chin lifted high, like a venomous snake in an animation.
Lucinda was a bit scared. “Eliza, what’s wrong?”
Eliza regained her composure from her anger, showing a gentle smile quickly.
“It’s okay. If your dad won’t send you off to school, I’ll go with you. Come on, let’s go to sleep.”
Lucinda hugged Eliza’s neck, feeling Eliza’s warm body temperature, and the fear in her heart instantly dissipated.
On the second floor, Eliza handed Lucinda over to Ivy.
She also drove to Crownvale Estates.
Sebastian’s car was parked by the roadside. He was annoyed and called Kelvin, “Tomorrow, ask Vivienne to pay the first installment of the loan immediately.”
Sebastian hung up the phone angrily.
Ten minutes ago, he wanted to drive into Crownvale Estates, but he was stopped by security.
He said he was looking for his wife, Vivienne Lancaster. The property manager heard the noise and came over.
He recognized Sebastian as the president of Corelynx Technologies and treated him with great respect, even offering to help
him contact Vivienne.
When Vivienne saw him through the intercom, she gave the property manager a cold look and said, “This is my crazy ex-husband. Don’t let him in. He will disturb the neighbors of Crownvale Estates.”
A few security guards snickered.
t was the first time Sebastian was publicly humiliated. He was driven crazy by Vivienne.
As soon as she moved into Crownvale Estates, she changed her attitude. There was no need to worry about her at all.
Tomorrow, he would end her happy life and see if she could still be arrogant then!
Eliza, hiding in the shadows, quietly observed Sebastian’s unusual behavior.
She had to find a way to make Vivienne leave Northgale.
Vivienne woke up early and saw the debt collection notice from Corelynx Technologies.
If the payment was not made within three days, the medical services at Rivemont’s Corelynx Hearth Center would be suspended.
The packaging factory would also lay off some disabled workers.
And Vivienne would be on the blacklist of banks.
She signed the debt contract herself, and she couldn’t avoid it.
Vivienne was once again penniless. She had to rely on Mr. K’s card to live.
she felt terrible, and her stomach didn’t feel right. She really, wanted some fruit now.
So, Vivienne called the cafeteria to ask if they had pomegranates.
The staff member of the cafeteria said they didn’t have any pomegranates now, but they would definitely prepare some before evening.
Vivienne said, “Forget it, I just want to eat it now.”
After hanging up, Vivienne looked at her empty account balance and was upset for a while.
she sent an email to Hexalith Semiconductor in Genovia, which previously invited her to join.
she couldn’t just wait for Halecroft Group to recruit.
Moreover, she had a scandal about leaking confidential business information, and Sebastian would definitely make things difficult for her. Halecroft Group might not hire her..
Vivienne quickly received an email reply from Hexalith Semiconductor about an online meeting.
But she was uneasy and distracted, so she set the meeting time for 8 PM.
Vivienne went out for a walk and encountered a group of children feeding swans at Windermere Park.
The boys wore blue overalls, and the girls wore blue dresses, all wearing red hats.
They looked like a group of mini Super Mario characters.
Vivienne thought it was coincidental. These were the uniforms of the Sunshine Meadows Academy.
