As the taxi pulled up in front of the villa, Emily stared at the luxurious decorations on the house number, slightly stunned.

She had expected a regular house, but it was a detached villa with a private yard.

Not only was the environment serene, but it also had a huge balcony.

Emily opened the door with her luggage, sunlight streaming into the house.

The house was clearly kept clean, not a speck of dust in sight.

Emily quickly unpacked her suitcase and hung a few changes of clothes in the walk-in closet.

As she lay down on the soft bed, her phone screen lit up with a message.

Zoe said she was free to take her out to dinner tomorrow.

Emily immediately replied with an “Okay,” then put down her phone.

A bookshelf by the bed was filled with books. She habitually picked up a book and read for a while before drifting off to sleep.

When sunlight touched her pillow again, Emily woke up.

Looking at the unfamiliar decor and layout, she felt a little uneasy.

It took her three minutes to adjust.

The bedside clock showed 6:30 AM, two hours earlier than she usually woke up at Simon’s house.

The mirror showed faint dark circles under her eyes, but her spirits were much better.

Emily, adapting to the local customs, took a shower and started making breakfast.

Since she didn’t like the local Moonland Pack New Herring, Emily had bought some eggs earlier.

She fried some eggs and bacon for herself.

At noon, as she was applying lipstick in front of the mirror, a message from Zoe popped up: “I’m downstairs, let’s go eat!”

Emily went downstairs.

When the warm aroma of pizza hit her, Emily froze.

The thin, crispy crust, topped with tomato sauce and melted mozzarella cheese, along with some sausage and mushrooms, formed a stark contrast to the foreign street food Stroopwafel and Croquette.

With the lycans scattered in the restaurant, for a moment, Emily thought she was back in the Royal Pack.

“I know you don’t like the food here.” Zoe picked up a corner of the pizza, folded it in half, and handed it to Emily.”Try this, it’s authentic!”

Emily took a bite. The familiar taste of mozzarella cheese stimulated her taste buds, and her eyes suddenly welled up.

‘Let’s talk business,” Zoe wiped her mouth.

“Can you officially start as my Beta’s deputy today?

There’s an alpha from a powerful Pack the day after tomorrow who specifically requested a werewolf with potential to work with, and I really can’t spare the time.

I don’t trust anyone else… so I had to bribe you with pizza.”

Zoe winked at her as she spoke.

“Why me?” Emily put down her chopsticks.

“Because you’re Emily Davis!”

Zoe poked her forehead.

“The future lycan Queen who could successfully challenge multiple experienced lycan warriors in three days, defeat the troublesome Head

Warrior…

and you can’t handle one alpha? The other party is from a powerful Pack, has a quirky temper, and specifically requested a competent

werewolf.

I’ve thought about it, and only you are the most suitable.”

“And based on your personality, you won’t argue with him.”

Zoe spoke earnestly.

Emily looked at the delicious, albeit not free, pizza, and finally nodded.

After staying in Moonland Pack for a few days, Emily gradually adapted to the climate.

On the appointed day, she followed Zoe shopping, buying some clothes and jewelry suitable for work.

She took out her phone to pay, but Zoe stopped her. “You’re working for me, how can I let you pay?”

Emily smiled.”Boss Zoe is generous!”

As evening approached, the other party sent the address of a restaurant. Following the navigation, the two headed to the appointed place.

Watching Emily go upstairs, Zoe frantically gave her encouraging thumbs-up gestures downstairs.

Emily couldn’t help but smile wryly.

The moment she pushed open the private room, Emily’s steps froze.

The figure was familiar, as if she had seen it somewhere before.

But she had just arrived in Moonland Pack, and she couldn’t have possibly met anyone before.

The man, silhouetted against the setting sun by the floor-to-ceiling window, slowly turned around, with the same gentle smile from their

airport encounter.

Emily’s wolf screamed again, “Mate! Mark him!”

Emily swallowed hard, “It’s you, we meet again.”

The man extended his hand.”I’m William Brown, alpha of Shinemoon Pack.

I’m pleased to cooperate with you.”

Emily clasped his hand, calloused but warm.

A meaningful smile flashed in William’s eyes, as if he had anticipated this reunion.

The warmth of the pizza still lingered in her stomach. Emily took a deep breath.

A gift received demands a kind response.

She had to secure this Pack cooperation.

After all, this was her first independent business deal, essential for her to establish herself.
