“But Emily! This guy is notoriously picky, he usually rejects cooperation invitations outright!”
Emily’s hand holding her phone paused, the streetlights casting shadows on her face.”But he said yesterday that he needed to consider the contract further.”
“That means there’s a chance!” Zoe practically screamed.
“If he weren’t interested, he would have sent you away on the spot. The fact that he said he’d consider it means he’s at least 70% interested! Follow up quickly, don’t let up!”
“Okay.”
Hanging up Emily hailed a taxi.
The stuffy air in the taxi dissipated a bit.
The next day, Emily was applying lipstick at her dressing table when her phone rang abruptly.
William’s name appeared on the screen.
She hesitated for two seconds before answering.”Mr. Brown?”
“Ms. Davis.” A chuckle came from the other end, with the sound of traffic in the background.
Are you free today? I’ve sent you an address, you might be interested.”
Before Emily could ask about the contract, the address appeared on her screen.
She opened the message.
It was the address of the Moonland Pack Central Exhibition Hall.
She stared at the words “Contemporary Architectural Art Exhibition.” She had been following this exhibition for a long time, but tickets had been sold out.
Even Zoe, after asking several friends, couldn’t get tickets.
She couldn’t think of a reason to refuse.
Half an hour later, Emily stood at the entrance of the exhibition hall, seeing William leaning against his car, waiting for her.
He wasn’t wearing a suit today, but casual clothes, looking more relaxed than their first meeting.
His relaxed appearance didn’t seem to match the powerful alpha who had repelled dozens of Rogue wolves.
“I hear Ms. Davis was particularly interested in architecture while in the Royal Pack?”
William opened the glass door for her; the soft light of the exhibition hall fell on his profile.
“The curator of this exhibition happens to be a friend of mine.”
Emily paused.
She had never mentioned her life in the Royal Pack to William, nor had she revealed her anticipation for this exhibition.
“Mr. Brown didn’t investigate me, did you?” she asked jokingly.
‘Knowing your enemy and knowing yourself is essential for victory.”
“During dinner, I also saw you staring at the restaurant’s unique wall structure for a long time.”
This made Emily completely stunned.
She had indeed been attracted by the unique architectural design that day, but she hadn’t realized he had noticed.
For the next two hours, the two of them wandered through the exhibition hall.
William was intimately familiar with every exhibit, always offering insightful comments.
After ten minutes, Emily couldn’t help but say, “Mr. Brown is much more professional than me, an amateur enthusiast.”
“Call me William,”
William looked at her.”I’ve always felt that communication outside of work helps you understand your partner better.

The potential of a future alpha isn’t just reflected in their work, is it?”
Emily looked at the distorted yet powerful artwork before her,
suddenly understanding why this man had achieved such success.
Her phone vibrated in her bag; it was a message from Zoe,
[How’s the contract follow-up going?”]
Emily stared at the screen, then at William, who was carefully explaining the exhibits.
Slowly, she typed: “Everything is going smoothly.”
