After I brought my daughter back to the lab, someone quickly filled me in on what happened to the Blackwell, Whitlock, and Winchester families.
The Blackwell and Whitlock families had originally been acting under federal orders to secretly support Caleb Stratmore.
But they’d just thrown money and resources at him without any real guidance.
This led to Caleb gradually losing his moral compass.
Both families had their core projects completely seized, which really hurt them.
As for the Winchesters, after this incident, which other family would dare work with them?
The Winchester patriarch cut his losses and directly expelled Vivienne from the family.
The Winchesters had to sell off most of their assets just to barely save the family’s lives.
After I left, Stratmore Enterprises quickly went bankrupt.
Caleb tried to find shelter with Vivienne while carrying his son Ethan, but she literally beat them away from her door.
In desperation, he jumped from the Winchester family building while holding his son.
But unexpectedly, Vivienne showed no emotion at all. She just had their bodies sent to the crematorium, didn’t even arrange a funeral, and left the ashes for the crematorium to dispose of.
Lila followed me into the deep-sea lab, looking around with wide-eyed curiosity.
“Mom, is this where you work?”
I gently patted her head, saying fondly.
“Yes, from now on you’ll live here with Mommy. This place has the best educational resources, but we can’t easily go out anymore.”
“As long as I can be with Mommy, I’m happy,” my daughter said with a sweet smile.
“Hehe, Boss, look at little Lila-she’s so young and already has no father. That won’t do! There’s a song that goes ‘Kids need their dads’ I think I’d be perfect as Lila’s dad.”
My student, who was always hanging around the lab bothering me, came over.
His face was full of smiles, practically broadcasting his inappropriate intentions toward me.
“Get lost.”
I rolled my eyes at him.
But my student didn’t back down at all, affectionately taking Lila’s hand.
“Hehe, you don’t get to decide this. Lila, would you like me to be your daddy?”
“But when my daddy found a new mommy, she said she’d be good to me too, but then she slowly changed.”
Lila’s eyes reddened as she shook her head.
“You mean that little bitch Vivienne Winchester? I remember her. She used to want to get with me, tried to climb into my bed, but I could tell she had bad character so I cursed her out. She ended up becoming one of my junior’s little side pieces.”
“How could that trash compare to me?”
He said with complete disdain.
“Huh?”
Lila’s mouth twitched slightly.
The woman her dad married was just a mistress of this guy’s?
But this guy was her mom’s student, and he was desperately trying to be her dad?
So what exactly was her mom’s status?
This relationship was so confusing.
But her mom was so awesome!
