Upon arriving at the institute, Anastasia was somewhat surprised.
Rather than calling it an institute, it would be more accurate to describe it as the most advanced, high–tech hospital of the modern era.
Guide robots could be seen everywhere, a 3D Medical Imaging Educational Model was displayed in the lobby, and a floating reception desk immediately caught the eye.
Everything left Anastasia utterly astonished, but even more so, she felt constrained.
The medical staff looked at the American girl before them and greeted her with a smile, “Do you have an appointment?”
Anastasia nodded first, then instinctively gestured in sign language, “Yes, I have an appointment at 2 p.m.”
The staff member quickly typed something on the keyboard according to the information she provided, and soon handed her a printed document.
Holding the document, the staff member led Anastasia to undergo a full–body checkup.
At first, she felt a bit uncomfortable, but everyone she met along the way seemed to show her inexplicable kindness, even smiling when their eyes met.
All of this helped her relax a little.
The results came out quickly. Holding her full–body examination report, she followed the medical staff to find her attending physician.
“This is your attending physician. Just hand him your examination report, and he will tell you what to do next.‘
Anastasia nodded slightly and looked up at the sign on the right side of the door, which displayed the doctor’s profile.
There was no real photo of the doctor, only his name was printed.
“Lucian Weldon”
She withdrew her gaze and politely knocked on the door.

After receiving a response from inside, she entered.
But when she saw the man’s face clearly, she was a bit surprised.

His features were sharp and cold, with deep blue eyes as profound as the sea, exuding a chill that kept others at a distance.
He was the very man who had helped her find her luggage at the airport.
But she quickly averted her gaze and handed him her examination report.
Lucian’s eyes also fell on her, but only paused for two seconds before he looked away.
He looked at several examination reports, his brows furrowing even more tightly, as if he had encountered a particularly tricky problem.
Seeing him frown, Anastasia couldn’t help but feel nervous.
“Don’t worry, the injury to your hand can be healed. As for your congenital aphasia, our institute also has relatively mature treatment plans, but the treatment period will be a bit longer.”
Lucian’s voice was cold, and his gaze toward her remained indifferent.
However, his words completely put Anastasia at ease.
She smiled, her eyes even brimming with tears.
Everything was moving in a better direction.
He noticed the tears at the corner of her eyes and was slightly taken aback.
But he continued, “For the next few days, come here at this time every day. I’ll start with some preliminary treatment for your hand, and after a few days, we’ll proceed with the surgery.”
Anastasia sniffled and nodded vigorously.
Just as she was about to leave, a voice suddenly came from behind her, “Did you ever find your
suitcase in the end?”
Anastasia was momentarily stunned, but quickly replied in sign language, “I found it. Thank you, I never imagined you would be my attending physician.”
Lucian raised an eyebrow but said nothing more. Before leaving, Anastasia sensibly closed the door.
After learning that she could recover, she excitedly went shopping at a large nearby supermarket,
