Chapter 1061
Sierra was over the moon.
Shaun’s eyes widened in shock as he asked Halsey, “What did you say? You’re breaking up with me?”
Halsey’s tone was firm. “Yes. I’m a jealous person, and since you’ve been tangled up with another woman, there’s no reason for us to get married.”
Shaun’s face fell. “But you’re carrying my baby!”
Halsey shook her head. “We can raise the baby together once it’s born, but I won’t marry you.
With that, she turned and started to walk away.
Shaun grabbed her arm. “Are you sure you want to break up with me?”
Halsey’s voice was sharp. “I’ve already made myself very clear. If you didn’t hear me, I’ll say it again. Yes, I’m breaking up with you! Now let go!”
She tried to push him away, but Shaun held on.
Halsey had no choice. She carefully pried each of his fingers off her arm. “Shaun, we’re done!”
Then, she walked out.
Sierra, peeking from the door, immediately grabbed Zada, and the two of them ducked behind a
corner.
Halsey disappeared from view as she left the private room.
Zada’s eyes widened. “I can’t believe Halsey broke up with Mr. Lane!”
Sierra peeked through the crack in the door and saw Shaun inside, furious. He sat down and poured himself a drink, gulping it down in one shot.
He poured a second, then a third. It was clear he was drowning his frustration in alcohol.
Sierra couldn’t hide her excitement. Her plan had worked–they had fallen apart!
But Zada couldn’t accept it. “I’m going after Halsey!”
Sierra turned to her. “Why would you do that?”
“Halsey is six months pregnant. I don’t want her to make a rash decision and break up with Mr. Lane. I need to talk to her.”
And with that, she ran off.

Sierra called out Zada’s name before rolling her eyes. Seriously, Zada was meddling too much.
Halsey walked ahead, and Zada caught up to her. “Halsey, wait!”
Halsey turned, pretending to be surprised. “Zada? What are you doing here?”
Zada spoke honestly. “We followed you. We saw you break up with Mr. Lane.”
Halsey was a little taken aback by Zada’s honesty. They said true character shows in hard times, and Zada’s was good… Maybe too good, since she was so easy to trick.
“Why did you follow me?” Halsey asked.
“I didn’t want to get involved, but you shouldn’t break up with Mr. Lane. You’re having the baby soon. You can’t have it grow up without a father. I know you’re upset about what happened with Sierra, but Mr. Lane was drunk. I told her to clear things up in front of the reporters. That would fix everything,” Zada said firmly.
Halsey listened quietly, then asked, “Do you really think she would clear things up in front of the reporters?”
Zada nodded. “Of course she would.”
Halsey raised an eyebrow. “She agreed to that?”
Zada hesitated. “Well… I don’t think she said yes yet. I’ll go back and talk to her. She’ll agree.”
Halsey smirked. “Let’s make a bet. I bet Sierra won’t agree. She’s itching to make this mess even bigger.”
