Chapter 1084
Halsey felt as if her heart were bursting with warmth. It was true that Shaun loved everything about her. Every choice he made seemed to carry a trace of her.
They had fallen in love when they were younger, and now, they were finally getting married.
Everything felt perfect.
Two hours later, the nail artist smiled and said, “Ms. Mallin, it’s all done! If there’s anything you’re not happy with, we can fix it.”
Halsey shook her head. “I love it. No need to fix anything.”
She turned to Shaun. “What do you think?”
Shaun had been sitting nearby the whole time, quietly reading the newspaper. When he heard her, he stood up and walked over. Taking both of her hands, he said softly, “It’s beautiful.”
Halsey smiled. “I think so too.”
Then suddenly, something slipped onto her finger. She looked down and saw a diamond ring.
Shaun was sliding the ring onto her finger.
Halsey blinked in surprise. “What are you doing?”
Shaun slowly went down on one knee. “I wanna ask you to marry me.
Halsey looked at him, stunned. “But you already proposed!”
Just then, the sound of curtains being pulled open filled the room. Bright light spilled in, and Halsey saw the place filled with flowers and twinkling lights.

Colorful confetti filled the air as people began to appear from behind the curtains.
Her
parents were there, along with Madeline, Warren, Wendy, Stanley, Zada, and many others. All their family and close friends had come.
The room was full of warmth and laughter.
Shaun looked up at Halsey and said, “I know I already proposed, but it wasn’t enough. I want to do it again—this time, in front of everyone we love.” (1)
Halsey’s eyes started to water.
Shaun continued, his voice full of emotion. “This is the seventh year since I met you. Thank you for coming into my life. You brought color into my dark world. You are the warmth I’ve always wanted to hold on to. I love you, and I want to build a home with you–it’ll be us and the kids, and we’ll live in endless happiness. Will you marry me?”

Cyril and Patricia were touched.
Patricia called out, “Say yes! Marry him!”
Wendy and Stanley smiled, echoing, “Halsey, marry him!”
Madeline and Warren were the happiest ones there.
Madeline laughed through her tears. “I’m finally getting a sister–in–law!”
To Madeline, Halsey was more than just her brother’s fiancée. She was the sister who had taken care of her and raised her after she lost her parents–a sister who felt like a mother.
Warren watched the two of them and felt nothing but joy. He knew better than anyone how deeply they loved each other and how much they had gone through to reach this moment. If their love hadn’t been strong enough, they never could’ve made it through all those hardships.
Everyone started chanting together, “Say yes! Say yes! Say yes!”
Shaun looked up at Halsey with deep affection. “Will you marry me and be my wife?”
Tears rolled down Halsey’s cheeks. She finally understood that Shaun’s bringing her here for a manicure was all part of his plan. He had called everyone together to surprise her with this grand proposal.
Through her tears, she smiled. “I will.”
The room erupted with cheers. “Kiss! Kiss! Kiss!”
Shaun stood up, cupped her face gently in his hands, and said, “Meeting you was the best thing that ever happened to me. I love you–forever and ever.”
Then, he kissed her deeply.
Halsey wrapped her arms around him and whispered back, “I love you, too, Shaun. Forever and ever.”
