Chapter 91
Chapter 91
Soon, Garret pulled the car up to Daron’s place in Vrufield.
It was a standalone villa in a high–end neighborhood.
Garret drove straight into the yard.

Once the car came to a stop, Marina was the first to hop out. She turned back to check on Daron, who was still in the back seat, looking a little worse for wear.
She was just about to reach out and help him, but he slipped out from the other side and headed straight inside the villa.
Marina watched him go. He was surprisingly steady on his feet.
She just stood there for a second, a bit dazed.
‘When did glucose get so good at curing hangovers?‘ she thought to herself.
Garret walked over and stopped beside Marina, his phone still buzzing in his hand.
“Ms. Finley, I need to take an important call. Could you go upstairs and help style Mr. Zamora for tonight?” he
said.
Though he phrased it like a question, he didn’t wait for her reply. He turned away to answer the call, leaving Marina no chance to refuse.
Marina waited for a couple of minutes, but Garret kept wandering further into the yard, still on the phone, and didn’t seem like he was wrapping up anytime soon.
Marina glanced at her watch. The Finley family’s party had already started.
They still hadn’t shown up, and her sister was probably under a ton of pressure right now.
Without another thought, Marina headed straight inside.
Garret’s voice echoed from afar, reminding her, “Second floor, just keep turning right.”
“Got it,” Marina called back, heading right into the living room.
Daron’s place here was a lot like his flat in Sicester, cool–toned, understated, and seriously luxurious.
But unlike in Sicester, there weren’t any figurines on display everywhere.
It barely looked lived–in at all.
Clearly, he hardly ever stayed here; most of the time, he was probably back at the Zamora family estate.
There was an elevator on the first floor that went up to the second, but Marina decided to take the stairs

Following Garret’s directions, she headed into Daron’s walk–in closet, carefully put together his look for the evening, and hung it up on a nearby rack.
As she was picking out a tie, the shower shut off.
Daron stepped out of the bathroom with just a towel around his waist, making his way over to the closet.
Even though Marina had seen Daron’s flawless, athletic physique before, the impact of seeing him again wast just as intense as the first time.
She tried to calm her racing heart, managing a small smile as she turned to face him at the closet door.
“Mr. Zamora, I’ve picked out your outfit for tonight,” she said softly.
“For ties, both of these would work. Do you have a preference?” Marina asked, holding them up for Daron to
see.
Daron stopped in his tracks, not expecting to find her waiting in his walk–in closet.
She looked so unfazed, it almost threw him off. Daron’s eyes flickered, his voice low and steady as he said, “Doesn’t matter. You pick.”
After a thoughtful pause, Marina settled on the black tie with subtle dark gray stripes. It looked more dignified and professional.
Marina finally made her choice. “I’ll go with this one.”
Daron stepped closer, reaching out to take the tie she’d chosen right from her hand.
His warm fingers brushed her palm, sending a teasing jolt straight up her arm. Her hand tingled, a strange mix of excitement and nerves she couldn’t quite name.
Marina pressed her lips together, doing her best to stay calm and not stare at his exposed skin. But no matter how much she warned herself, her eyes just kept wandering back for another look.
She couldn’t help but admit that his body was on another level.
Eight–pack abs, and that flawless Adonis belt.
The lines of his Adonis belt traced down from his abs, disappearing into the towel, hinting at even more hidden underneath…
Right above her, Daron’s husky voice snapped her out of her daze.
Daron’s voice came from above, low and teasing. “See something you like?”
Marina flashed an awkward smile, quickly tearing her gaze away. ‘Crap, busted. “I… I wasn’t looking at anything. You should get dressed, Mr. Zamora. I’ll wait for you outside.”

She was about to leave, but Daron moved in front of her, leaning in and bending slightly so their eyes met.
“Are you comparing me to other guys in your head?” he teased, his voice low and playful.
Marina shook her head, earnest.
“No,” she said.
‘Absolutely not,‘ she thought to herself.
He was the most perfect guy she’d ever seen, way better than those thirst–trap dudes she kept seeing on her short video feed lately.
Daron arched an eyebrow, his handsome face inching even closer to hers.
Marina stiffened, refusing to back down. She didn’t want Daron to think she was feeling guilty or anything.
They were so close, the air between them practically crackled with chemistry.
Marina had been doing a pretty good job keeping her cool, but suddenly, a blush crept up her cheeks.
‘Honestly, who could survive Mr. Zamora’s visuals?‘ Marina thought, her heart pounding.
Seeing her cheeks turn pink, Daron smirked, clearly pleased.
“So, what do you think of me?” he asked.
His voice was low and raspy, dripping with temptation.
Marina’s cheeks burned, and her mind felt like it was short–circuiting.
‘Honestly, Mr. Zamora, you’re easily the most ripped guy I’ve ever laid eyes on, Marina admitted, her cheeks burning.
Daron narrowed his eyes, didn’t look amused at all.
“Every guy? So you’ve checked out a lot of guys, huh?” he teased, his voice low and a little jealous.
Marina nodded, not hiding the truth.
“There are just so many hot guys flexing online these days,” she said.
The algorithm just keeps serving up these guys for free. No subscription needed, just endless eye candy for her to scroll through.
Daron just scoffed and stepped aside, letting her go.
His expression stayed the same, but Marina could totally feel he was still annoyed.
‘I literally just told him he’s got the best body out of all the guys I’ve seen. Why is he still mad?‘ Marina thought, totally baffled.

Marina, still feeling a bit confused, stepped out of the closet and just stood quietly outside, waiting for him.
A few minutes later, Daron finally emerged from the room, dressed and looking sharp.
Daron had his phone pressed to his ear, deep in conversation, and a tie clenched in his other hand. Spotting Marina, he tossed the tie right at her.
“Tie it for me,” he ordered, his voice so direct and bossy there was zero chance to refuse.
He made it clear with just his tone that she wasn’t getting out of this.
The tie ended up draped over Marina’s head, catching her totally off guard. She couldn’t help but chuckle, pulled it off, and mumbled her reply.
“Okay, Mr. Zamora,” she said softly.
‘I’m the one asking for his help today, so I really can’t afford to upset him, Marina thought, feeling a bit helpless.
If he got mad now and refused to go with her to the Finley family party, she’d be totally screwed.
Marina smiled to herself as she fixed the tie. Daron, still on the phone, nudged her to hurry up.
“Hurry up,” he murmured, his voice low and a little impatient.
He straightened up in front of her, then went right back to talking on the phone.
Marina knew Daron was tall, but she hadn’t realized he was towering over her, way more than she’d expected.
She had to stretch up on her tiptoes just to get the tie around his neck.
Daron was so wrapped up in his phone call, he didn’t even think to lean down and help her out.
Marina’s toes were killing her, so she gave his chest a little pat, hinting for him to lean down.
Daron finally glanced down, but totally missed her signal. Instead, his free hand found her waist, holding her there, never pausing his call for a second.
