“JAX!”
I shouted. But no one could hear me.
I chased the van all the way to a mansion on the waterfront in Brooklyn.
This place used to be Wyatt’s birthday gift to me. The deed was still in my name.
But why the hell was Jax being dragged here?
They shoved him into the living room, and that’s when I saw her.
Sienna, sitting on the couch like she owned the place.
Jax struggled against the bodyguards pinning him down.
“Sienna?! What the FUCK?!”
She smiled sweet.
“Hey, sweetie. Wasn’t gonna kill you, honestly. But your dad gave most of his money to your mom.”
“You don’t die, my kids get jack shit.”
Jax’s eyes went huge.
“You LIED! My mom never touched you! You SET HER UP!”
Sienna smirked and gave the bodyguards a little nod.
They dragged Jax over to the pool and shoved his head underwater.
“NO!”
I went completely insane, lunging at them over and over, trying to pull them off him. But I kept passing straight through their
bodies.
I watched Jax thrash and fight in the water, completely helpless.
Someone please help my baby!
I regretted everything.

If I were alive, no one would be able to hurt my son like this.
Without me, he had no one left to protect him.
I shouldn’t have died. How could I be so stupid? How could I trust someone else to take care of my child?
Thankfully, they pulled him out before it was too late. His face was bright red, gasping for air.
Sienna jumped into the pool.
“Mrs. Reid, PLEASE don’t kill me! I swear I’ll never see Wyatt again! I SWEAR!”
“If you’re gonna kill someone, kill ME–not Jax! He’s your SON! He didn’t do ANYTHING!”
She splashed around dramatically, then sent the video straight to Wyatt.
Unbelievable.
She was still trying to frame me.
But she didn’t know–I was already dead.
Wyatt had just sent my body to the crematorium when Sienna’s video came through.
On the screen, Jax’s hands were flailing above the water, his face turning blue.
Sienna was also thrashing around in the pool, but her face didn’t look panicked at all.
Wyatt’s brain kicked back into gear. He saw right through her act.
His whole body started shaking. His teeth ground together so hard they made this awful scraping sound. His eyes turned
bloodred.
He’d been so blind!
This woman’s tears had fooled him completely. He’d actually believed her lies and said those horrible things to Delilah after
she died.
“AHHHHH!”
He let out this raw, crazy roar. “Get everyone! NOW! MOVE!”
I floated beside him, shaking with panic.
Sienna was way more vicious than I ever imagined. In that video, Jax’s face kept turning darker and darker–he was running
out of time.

“Waterfront house! Brooklyn!”
My voice couldn’t break through the barrier between life and death. But Wyatt seemed to sense something.
“Waterfront house?”
“YES! THERE!”
Wyatt slammed the gas pedal and tore off toward Brooklyn.
His security team kicked the mansion door clean off its hinges. What they saw by the pool made everyone see red.
Sienna was still holding Jax underwater. The kid had barely any fight left in him–his arms and legs were limp, just floating there. Tiny bubbles rose to the surface.
“STOP!!”
Wyatt looked like he was ready to kill someone with his bare hands.
