I can’t help but feel relief as soon as the program that we prepared finally ended.
And as of now, everyone is now enjoying the food and drinks that we served, as well as the Anox cars that we put on our display around the area.
I can see on their face that they love seeing the new achievements that Raiden got. And they are going to give their full support for it.
Raiden’s executives and investors are also pleased and I think the next time I lay out another plan or idea to them, it will not be hard for me to get their approval, especially if I can just show them that this is for the good of their company.
And overall, this is a successful launch.
“You are the one behind all of this, right?”
I turned my back and saw one of the executives of Raiden. “Mister Viella.”
He was just looking at me and to be honest, I don’t know how to act in front of him so I just averted my eyes
from him.
“You should greet me first, Milan,” he said and that made me turn my eyes on him again and this time, he is now smiling.
I sighed in relief and immediately run to him and hug him. “Long time no see, Ben.”
“Five years.”
I nodded and let go of the hug. “Sorry for not showing myself as soon as I got back.”
“Nah,” he said. “Don’t worry about it. I know that there are a lot of things that happened so you didn’t have a chance to visit me.”
Well, he is Benedict Viella. He is our godfather at my wedding and the best friend of Enver’s father but he likes me for Enver. Everyone that’s involved in Enver’s family, Ben is the only one who is nice to me and he never treats me as anything lower than them.
And he is also my mentor on everything I need to know in gathering my connection in every place and to get more influence.
“So?” He raised his eyebrows. “How are you?”
“As you can see?” I turned one time. “I am okay.”
He nodded and looked below since we are on the second floor to see what is happening at the event. “And you decided to work under Enver?”
I scratched my head. “To be honest, meeting with Enver again was just an accident. Also, the reason why I am working at Raiden.”
And that is when I started telling him everything that happened. From Mikea’s situation up to what brought us
into this situation.

He smirked and shook his head. “Fate does play a lot.”
I nodded. “I don’t even expect that after all the things I did in the past five years to avoid Enver, I was still the one who entered his office.”
“Well, I guess fate brought you back together using that friend of yours,” he said. “And the reason? Maybe to at least set you free from the pain that the two of you are still feeling up to now.”
I frowned. “What do you mean?”
He smiled and shook his head again. “Nothing. Don’t mind anything that this old man says to you.”
I chuckled. “You are not that old.” To be honest, he once introduced me to his son hoping that we would like each other because of what I experienced in Enver’s family. He always said before that it is better if I would marry his son because he can assure me that I will not suffer from them.
But I always reject his idea and told him that it is impossible for me to like his son. Well, as a friend, it is possible. But more than friends? Ahm… I think he better asks his son about his idea of having a relationship with the opposite sex.
“Anyway,” I said. “You are one of Raiden’s executives, right?”
He nodded. “I am always the first investor of Raiden that is why Enver decided to put me on the board. Why?”
I frowned. “Don’t ask me why, Ben,” I said. “I am sure that you are aware of the situation of Raiden.”
As I said, he is my mentor. And I am sure that he knows the problem of Raiden, especially now that it is starting to get something more and ready to start competing with everyone in this industry.
He smiled and messed up my hair. “You are my student.”
“So, you knew?”
He nodded. “Right from the start.”
“And you
didn’t even bother to do something?” I asked. “Or at least tell Enver what is happening in his
company?”
“And if I do that, do you think Enver will grow up?”
I stopped after he said that.
“All of Enver’s life, his parents have always supported him,” he said. “He never did anything alone for himself, Everything about his life was his parents‘ decision. And the only thing that he did for himself is getting you in his life and marry you. But as you can see, it was still his parents that control your marriage to the point that you got separated.”
“Because that is what he used to be,” I said. “Someone needs to push him first before he does something.”
He nodded. “When you left, that is when he realize that. So, he chose to abandon his family and start building Raiden.
“With your help and support?”

“Well, he first thought of me,” he said as if he didn’t have a choice in that decision. “To be honest, I wanted to punch him after I learned what he did to you but I can see that he is already regretting his decision so i gave him a little help.”
“Without a concrete plan?”
He raised his eyebrows again. “Do you think I will just help him and gave him a huge amount of money without knowing his plan?”
I shrugged my shoulders. “He is still the son of your best friend and the beloved husband of your favorite pupil.” I said. “He may be-“I immediately distanced from him when he was about to pull my ear. “It was just a joke? And I laughed because he is glaring at me now.
Well, he is strict when it comes to helping people. He is generous but he needs to know the exact plan for how those people will use the help that they need from him. He is the type of person who makes sure that there is something good happens if he helps someone.
“I am not the type of person who will set aside what I believe just because we have a close relationship,” he said and sighed. “I told him to show me a concrete plan on where and how he will use the capital that he wants me to give to him.”
“Is that plan about the Raiden?”
He nodded. “The plan is good. The profit is secured. And the benefits that he lay down for the investors and employees are also great.”
“But that plan doesn’t include all the risk that he might face when he starts competing with the other companies.”
He nodded again and sighed. “That is one of my mistakes but Raiden is growing steadily so I thought that it will just be a matter of time before he will finally learn how to run a company even though there are a lot of people who challenge him.
But I think that is not going to happen.
I turned my eyes to Enver who was busy talking to the potential investors that I invited here.
“He can’t do this alone, Milan,” he said which made me look at him again. “You have to stay beside him. Without you, people will only take advantage of him and he will never suspect that.”
Ah. I am not sure about that.
