She frowned in confusion. “But even so, this shouldn’t have birthed such an evil dead beast…”
Soon, the black market dealer who’d sold the drug to Rosalind was dragged over. The scrawny man knelt in the center of the hall, trembling.
“Why is my child a monster? What did you do to me?!” Rosalind lunged at the dealer like a madwoman, grabbing his throat.
The black market dealer quickly pushed her away and fell to his knees before Draconius, begging for mercy. “Spare me! I meant no harm! She must not have followed the instructions! She definitely overdosed!”
“You’re lying!” Rosalind shrieked.
“No, I’m not lying!” the dealer said anything to save his life. ‘I clearly told you–one drop daily for forty–nine days. But you said…”
He swallowed hard, trembling as he spoke: “You said if one drop daily could produce one child, wouldn’t three drops daily produce the strongest triplets? You took three drops a day!”
