I went back to eating while looking at our photos; it’s something so precious to me. I’m living a totally different life; while I spent fifteen years with that man, I never felt fulfilled in anything. Furthermore, I accepted a lot of things just because I loved him. I went through a lot of humiliation, but I stayed by his side. I lost a lot of things because I loved him.
It was always my goal to get married in a wedding dress and to have a party to celebrate my marriage. But I didn’t get that chance; I gave up my dreams for him. I don’t like reliving the past, but it’s so different when you’re in a healthy relationship. They love me, they respect me, and they always want to have a relationship with me, whereas that bastard never did. My husbands are always by my side, defending me against everything, even their own families.
This difference is something so incredible to me; I think my biggest fear wasn’t just being dumped for someone else. It was accepting a relationship where I wouldn’t be respected, where my feelings would be trampled on and thrown away. “Sometimes I think I’m not worthy of all this, but why wouldn’t I be? Everyone deserves the chance to be loved. I spent five years without anyone, but when I finally took a step forward, happiness found me.
Giving me two wonderful husbands, a beautiful daughter, and wonderful in–laws. And finally, I’m going to have our baby. I’m experiencing things I’ve never experienced before, I don’t want to go back to being that insecure woman, afraid to express herself. As I said, I can see my future in their eyes.
