Chapter 60
Tessa’s POV
Standing outside in the cold once again, I hazily found my same position back beside Sasha and Erin in the line up – unsure of what was going on and now
becoming frozen along with being in agony from my injuries.
I heard Erin audibly gasp at the sight of me, as I stumbled towards her and eyed her briefly and forced out a sad smile through my swollen eyes.
‘I am so sorry Tess!” Erin whispers, as I shake my head at her in protest.
“This is n–not your fault!” I retort, glad for the whistling alarms which continued to ring out around us to help drown out our conversation from the guards
ears.
I would die if I was to be dragged off for making noise yet again right now… that would be the last straw for me!
Sasha suddenly hushes us both, as we turn to see the main doors opening with the same elite males from before filing outside – again dressed up in their
lavish fur coats and warmers.
‘Chto proískhodit? (What is going on?!)” The man who I had decided was their Alpha yells out in Russian, as a guard quickly rushes towards him and whispers something in his ear as the crowd grows silent.
I hated not knowing what was going on or what was being said that had to be the worst part about being here!
“Sasha Breyk!” A name is yelled from the Alphas lips, as Sasha flinches from beside us – lifting her head and looking alarmed and stunned to be called upon.
What is going on…
*IDITE SYUDA! (COME HERE!)” He roars, furious about something as my breathing hitches in my throat for whatever Sasha was about to face.
She turns to offer myself and Erin a panicked look, her feet shuffling forward slowly before her eyes settle on the large male who had yelled out her name his eyes blazing holes through her as she gets closer and closer to him.
As Sasha hesitantly approached the Alpha, my heart raced in fear for her. The tension in the air was palpable, and I exchanged a worried glance with Erin, silently communicating our shared concern.
‘What does he want with her?!” Erin leans closer to whisper to me, her voice strained as I shake
my
head.
‘Whatever it is… c–can’t be good!” I respond, struggling to see the scene properly due to my closing eyes which felt heavily swollen and bruised prior to the
attack.
We watched Sasha draw nearer to the imposing figure, before she eventually got within reach – as his large thick arm darted out to grab her roughly to pull
her to him.
She looked instantly startled as she winced in pain under his hold, as the Alpha turned her around to display her to the entire group showing us all the fear
buried in her eyes.
The worst part was, there was absolutely nothing we could do to help or save her from this for we would only be signing our own death certificates if we
did…
I felt a tear run down my cheek, exhaustion flooding through me as a result of the whole day.

What is going on…?!
“It is a rule here, that the females learn their own way through making mistakes and facing punishments! That is the right way! But from what I can see right now, one of them didn’t go unnoticed by my guards!” He chuckles darkly and points, eyes landing right on me as every female and males heads snap around to follow him.
Why is everyone staring at me right now… in my bruised and torn up state… this was my worst nightmare!
“As punishment – since this is how we do things around here girls – Sasha will be spending a rather rough night with me tonight! As for you two little new ones, I look forward to spending some one on one time with you very soon!” The Alpha’s words hold promise, as my blood runs cold and my eyes tear up.
Sasha had helped us go under the radar thus far, and yet one of the guards has flagged her up to the Alpha for helping us – no doubt the same guard who broke my nose if I would have to guess!
We watch on as the Alpha disappears back inside with Sasha in his clutches- scared and defenceless against his vicious rulings.
This is all our fault… all because she wanted to help keep us on the right path during our first couple of days here… now she was being punished for it.
The guards blow their whistles, before yelling out foreign words as we follow in line with the other girls who make swift movements to keep their distance from us in order to protect themselves from being reported.
This was worse than we had ever even imagined… exiled and left without hope. We were like a curse to anyone who came in contact with us – either self sabotaging our own lives or destroying those who even attempt to be kind to us.
We were the problem…
As we reach our room, I tug Erin inside – thankful to be back here which was something I never thought I would think!
‘Oh my goodness Tess!” Erin cries out the second that our door is slammed shut and locked.
I cringe at her embrace, feeling my stomach tighten as she presses against the forming bruise from where the guard had kicked me.
The sound alone causes for Erin to release me – her eyes full of pity as she scans over my battered features.
“What happened when he took you away? Do you want to talk about it?!” Erin helps me to sit down on the solid mat on the floor as I groan when bending – flopping over on to my butt.
‘He yelled a lot, took me in to a p–padded room, punched me in the f–face, k–kicked me in my stomach…” I recount what happened, closing over my sore eyes to give them a moments rest for the first time.
“I am so sorry that happened to you! Why are they so cruel here?! Poor Sasha too! Tessa covers her face in her hands and shakes her head.
I was glad it was me rather than her, as she had already had her fair share of mistreatment thanks to Leo… but I wouldn’t be able to shield her forever…
“That’s n–not even the worst p–part…‘ I admit softly, knowing that the part which rattled me the most was the unknown.
It was the worry of what he had planned to do to me which had me so shaken up.
“What?! What else happened?!” Tessa gasps, scooting closer to me to offer some comfort and to show that she was here for me.
I licked my drying lips, feeling the water brim in the edges of my eyes once mores Erin took the chance to reach out to grab a hold of my hand in hers

“He wanted me to…” I hiccup, finally breaking down fully about what had happened to me since being in the green house this morning under the heated lamps to being dragged off and abused by one of the guards.
“Shh it’s ok! I’m here for you Tess! It’s over now, tomorrow is a new day!” She hushes me, rubbing comforting circles on my back as 1 allow all of my emotions to run loose like a dam breaking on a river.
I cry out in a sob, as Erin gives what little support she can to my situation as eventually calm myself down enough to continue talking.
“He wanted m–me to s–suck him off Erin… he w–was going to make me before the buzzer went off!” I exclaim, sucking in a sharp breath after finishing my sentence with Erin smacking a hand over her mouth in horror too.
“But I thought… the guards weren’t allowed to touch any of the females… didn’t sasha say that? He’s broken the rules! Can’t we report him?” Erin rambles on, hurt and aggravated at what the guard had attempted to do to me.
Although he didn’t get the time, I knew from the look in his eye that he would have crossed that line without hesitation!
“What’s the use Erin? Even the Alpha regards us as toys to him! Nobody will help us here my tears back as Erin also begins to softly cry from beside me.
– we are stuck in this hell hole!” I close my heavy eyes, sniffling
“I want Seth and Kane back… I’ve never missed being around anyone as much as miss being around Seth!” Erin admits, allowing her own tears to flow as my lip trembles at the thought of Kane having moved on already.
He’s probably dating around and enjoying his care free life… we were nothing more than a past memory for them both!
“I miss them too…” I admit softly, fighting to hold myself back from completely falling apart. “B–But it’s too late… we have to learn to survive bere…” I admit, although my heart was screaming at me to hold on to the hope of Kane coming to find us.
I knew that the chances of that happening were next to nothing.
Our lives were set to play out horribly from here on out and there was literally not one single thing we could do about it – other than to cry.
At this point, my hopes and dreams had been crushed as I began to feel myself grow numb to my surroundings – accepting my fate for what it is.
Sad and burnt.
