After leaving Turner Tower, Eliana wasted no time and immediately contacted the suppliers she’d met at the dinner party.
With Nathan making the introductions, most of them agreed without hesitation. As long as Nathan was backing the project, there was no way it could fail.
They were making easy money and doing Nathan a favor, so of course, everyone was on board.
So, in just one afternoon, Eliana had already locked in deals with a bunch of suppliers.
Eliana glanced at her schedule. Only one company was left on her list and it was by far the hardest to land.
She had called them several times to arrange a meeting, but each time, they’d come up with some excuse to turn her down.
Eliana could sense their hesitation, but the patented product they had developed was crucial for her next pharmaceutical project. Even if she wanted to find an alternative, it wasn’t guaranteed she’d be able to.
And if she made any changes, she wasn’t sure how it would affect the final product. So, determined to avoid any unnecessary risks, Eliana dialed their number again.
This time, Tobias Watson didn’t immediately reject her. Instead, he spoke earnestly, “Ms. Lyons, I know you’re serious about this. I heard you secured new investment for the Westridge project.
“It’s not that I don’t want to work with you, but our factory is already booked with orders. If we take on another big order like yours, we might not be able to meet the delivery date.”
As he explained, Eliana could hear the clinking of glasses and the lively chatter of a party in the background.
She remembered that it was Tobias who had supplied goods for the Westridge project back then. So there was no issue with production. It was just that he didn’t want to work with her.
Eliana was stumped why he was turning her down. But things had progressed this far, and there was no way she was backing down now.
Thinking that, Eliana said seriously, “Mr. Watson, I get where you’re coming from. How about I come over and we talk in person?
“Just give me this one shot. If, after I’ve said my piece, you still don’t want to work with me, I swear I won’t bring it up again.”
Eliana’s sincerity really caught Tobias off guard, leaving him at a bit of a loss.
When Eliana pressed him again for his location and said she’d head over right away, Tobias hesitated for a long time before finally giving her the address.
Tobias knew he couldn’t keep rejecting her, especially since Nathan was behind the Westridge project. Even if it appeared to be Eliana’s project, everyone knew Nathan had a significant stake in it.
After hanging up, Tobias quickly walked over to Addy Finch. “Mr Finch, Eliana is really hard to shake off. I’ve made up every excuse, but she kept calling.
“I just couldn’t turn her down anymore, so I agreed to meet her. What should I do now? If I refuse again, I’ll probably offend her, and that means offending Turner Group. Do you think we’ll get caught up in their mess?”
Tobias sighed. “Honestly, working with Mr. Eliot is a good move but we shouldn’t be the ones taking on all the risk. If anyone’s got to shoulder it, it ought to be Mr. Eliot himself.”
Addy nodded in agreement. “No wonder my dad trusts you so much and put you in charge of the branch office. You really

have foresight, Mr. Watson. So, where are you meeting Eliana?”
Tobias smiled at the praise and replied, “Right here. She figured out I was at a networking event, so she insisted on coming to meet me. I couldn’t get out of it, so I gave her the address.”
“Perfect, then let’s have Mr. Eliot join us too. After all, no one’s touched their food yet, right?” Addy said, raising his voice so everyone could hear.
The rest, who were already getting a bit tipsy, immediately stopped themselves from eating. Someone quickly added, “Mr. Eliot’s coming? Awesome. We wouldn’t dream of starting without him”
Seeing the crowd was cooperating enough, Addy finally called Logan.
After the mess at last night’s dinner, Logan figured teaming up with Nathan was probably off the table. Honestly, even if Nathan wanted to work together now, Logan wouldn’t be interested.
So teaming up with Addy to make Nathan pay was exactly what logan wanted most right now.
In business, no one stayed on top forever. Nathan’s cockiness and public disrespect were things Logan wouldn’t forget. So when Addy reached out, Logan agreed without hesitation.
Eliana showed up before Logan did. She greeted everyone in the private room briefly and smiled politely.
Ever since she’d returned to Lyons Group, she’d done her research, so most of these faces looked familiar to her.
After saying hello, she walked straight over to Tobias and, with a hint of apology, said, “Sorry, everyone, I wasn’t sure where to meet Mr. Watson, so I had to come here. I’ll try not to take up too much of your time.”
Eliana was Logan’s wife, and after last night’s dinner, rumor had it she and Nathan Turner were more than just business associates. With that in mind, no one dared joke around with her and just smiled politely.
However, a few people, a bit tipsy, started pushing her to drink, insisting she had to have a few drinks before Tobias would discuss business with her.
Eliana knew that if she refused, they wouldn’t be able to do anything about it. But since she still had to be in this circle, so she poured herself a glass and drank it in one go.
The sharp liquor burned her throat, and she couldn’t help but cough, but she kept her tone friendly. “My bad, I’ll drink to make up for it. I promise I won’t take up too much of Mr. Watson’s time.”
Seeing Eliana’s willingness to go along with things, Tobias didn’t say anything more and stood up to join her. Just as they reached the door, they ran into Logan, who was walking in.
