The white place went dead dient i was like time had stopper.
Homer’s harsh reghing jolted everyone back to their senses
Niel’s brother. Damien Burton, was standing beside Homer. Neimmediately rushed over to Homer and the others. checking on his brother. You okay?”
Dandien blinked at his brother, still dazed. “Huh? I’m fine. I just had a weird dream, that’s all
Neil’s eyes were red as he gave Damien a hard slap on the back. Good, as long as you’re okay?

Some faces in the crowd lit up with delight. Others couldn’t believe what they were seeing. A few shifted uneasily, troubled by the turn of events.
Only Rafael stepped forward, standing tall with an air of authority, radiating confidence.
He raised his voice, booming out for everyone to hear. “Everyone!”
As all eyes turned to him, he declared, “The time to pay up on our bet has come!”
As if worried someone might miss it, he deliberately drew out the last word, his voice deep and powerful, echoing through the forest from his very core.
Nobody knew what to say.
But Rafael reached into his Infinite–Expansion Satchel and pulled out two throne–like chairs, setting them up behind Linda and Laura. “Take a seat, Linda, Laura.”
Linda and Laura sat down confidently.
Everyone was speechless.
Rafael and Craig stepped to the side and barked at the crowd, “On your knees!”
Everyone was stunned. The whole scene looked just like a wedding, with everyone kneeling like guests paying respects to the elders.
Everyone looked furious and embarrassed, their faces a mix of pale and livid.
Homer had just come to and had no idea what was going on, but he could tell something was off just by looking around.
Can someone tell me what happened?”
Nobody knew what to say, but Neil left his brother’s side and strode straight toward Linda and the others. Rafael and Craig locked their eyes on him, already set on one thing. If Niel dared to make a move, they’d kill him on the spot.
But to everyone’s shock, the 6.6–foot giant dropped to his knees in front of Linda with a heavy thud, bowing his head to the ground. “I admit I lost the bet. I was wrong!”
Craig snorted.
Rafael shot him a sly grin and teased, “Well, tell us where you mess up?”
Neil said, “I was ignorant and arrogant. I didn’t realize I was standing before giants. I shouldn’t have underestimated you…”
Neil glanced at their outfits, trying to place which crew they were repping.

Craig cumed in “First Unity Coven
Neil caught am and yelled. “I messed up by looking down on the First Unity Convent from now on, whenever I see any of your
I’ll bow downt
After he finished came the smacks. Three loud slaps rang out. He landed three hard staps on his own fare.
When he was about to hit himself for the fifth time, Linda said coolly, “Since you’re owning up so sincerely, let’s call it even with five slaps.”
Niel bowed his head and thanked her from his knees,
He was totally upfront about it, not a trace of scheming or hidden agenda.
Linda and Craig could see it. Niel was brave but not exactly clever, though his heart was in the right place. He was alright.
Once Neil finished kneeling, all eyes turned to the rest of the crowd.
Linda and Rafael swept their gazes over those smug faces. Just moments ago, they were mouthing off, but now, not a peep out of any of them.
The others were clearly mortified, but with Neil and his brother getting the example, they could only swallow their pride and admit defeat. One by one, they knelt and honored the wager and in no time, most had paid up.
Though when the others slapped themselves, it didn’t sound nearly as sharp as when Max did it.
Rafael was about to roll up his sleeves and do it himself, but Craig grabbed his arm. “Forget it. Don’t push them too far, or they’ll just try to trip us up later.”
Rafael had no choice but to back down, though he couldn’t help feeling a bit disappointed.
“I’ve never even tried slapping someone myself. Next time, I’m definitely giving it a shot!” he grumbled.
Craig just kept quiet.
Most people owned up to their losses, but there were always a few who just couldn’t swallow their pride.
They scrambled for excuses, and when they spotted the dream portal still intact overhead, they started protesting loudly, “We agreed to break the dream! The portal’s still there, so that means we didn’t lose!”
“Yeah, it doesn’t count!”
Rafael and his crew just scoffed.
Linda said, unimpressed, “How boring.”
Laura agreed. “Totally boring.”
After watching the crowd kneel for so long, they couldn’t even tell who was who anymore.
Linda shot Laura a sideways glance and smiled. “Since you’re bored, why don’t we head out?”
Laura gave a nod.
As the two of them stood up, Rafael and Craig immediately followed, snatching up the chairs. Like hell he’d leave those behind. He’d swiped them from the inn and wanted to bring them back to butter up his elders.
Of course they were taking the chairs. They wouldn’t want the losers to have them.

At the four of the walked off, Linda and Rafael fixed a cold, Hering stare on the stubborn boldours who kept running their amunths.
The message
then eyes was loud and clear. They were burning those faces into memory, and payback was coming,
The Fromal was left uneasy. Berves jangling.
But seeing Matthew and his crew still standing there made them feel a little safer.
Toney had heen biting his tongue for ages, telling himself not to get dragged down to their level. But when Linda hit him with that taunting glare, he finally snapped.
“Stop right there!” he shouted.
Linda and Rafael spun around together, eyes lit up, practically sparking with energy.
They weren’t worried in the slightest, If anything, they looked like they couldn’t wait to throw down.
Rafael was thinking, Finally, an excuse to go wild.
Just then, the swirling vortex overhead quietly unraveled, and a streak of blue–gold light shot down, landing right in front of Linda.
Linda was a little stunned, but could still make out Dermot’s sly, mocking grin, even if its features were impossible to see.
The rest of the crowd’s faces instantly twisted in shock.
“Companion Spirit!” someone gasped.
Toney and Marietta both blanched. “Guardian of the Veil!”
Whoever owned it could roam the entire Veil without a hitch. It was a legendary treasure that could even let someone claim the whole Veil!
Even Matthew was left speechless for a moment.
But in the very next moment, Toney and Marietta both snapped into action.
“Grab it!” they shouted in unison.
Without a second thought, they lunged forward, beating Homer and the others to the punch.
Linda arched an eyebrow, swiftly tucked Dermot away, and was already poised to strike with her sword.
But before she could make a move, Laura flashed in front of her gripping the Giantforce Sword as tall as herself. With a sweeping motion, she brought the colossal blade down, aiming a crushing blow straight at Toney!
Toney tried to dodge, but he couldn’t escape. He was trapped.
Laura smashed Toney so hard into the ground, he was left stuck more than ten feet deep. No way he was getting up from that. Then, without a hint of mercy, she turned and swept her massive blade straight at Marietta.
But just then, a palm shot out from behind Marietta. Matthew, surging with wild spiritual power, boosted Marietta, helping her go head–to–head with Laura’s sword aura.
Matthew shouted, “Channel your energy!”
Marietta instantly channeled her energy. Her sword aura blasted out in a sweeping wave.

The impact left a huge pit under their feet, at least ten feet deep And poor Toney, who was already down, got slammed even further into the ground.
But neither side broke apart. They were dead even!
“It’s a draw!” The crowd was stunned.
Someone yelled, “A draw? Come on, she totally ambushed Mr. Soto! He had to scramble to react. No way he could keep up! How is that even a tie?”
Everyone could tell he was just brown–nosing the High Sanctum of Archmagi, but nobody bothered to respond. Not even Homer, who never missed a chance to kiss up to Matthew, kept his mouth shut.
Because everyone knew Laura was solo, while Matthew and Marietta had to double up!
She went against two opponents and still came out even. Her strength and talent were off the charts.
“No matter how tough she is, she’s not gonna last much longer,” someone said.
Everyone could see it. Matthew’s cultivation was a whole tier above Laura’s. And with Marietta in his corner, Laura was getting pushed back. One step, two steps.
But just as Laura took her third step back, two figures slipped in, one dropping down from above the Veil, the other sliding in from behind Laura’s position, both zeroing in on Matthew.
Matthew felt murderous intent bearing down on him.
‘Something’s wrong!‘ he thought.
The threat of death hit him instantly, and without a second thought, he pulled his hand back and dragged Marietta with him, backing off fast. The moment they moved, two figures appeared right where they’d just been.
One was Linda. The other was Claudio. Both of them had that same killer look in their eyes.
“Mess with Laura, and you’re dead!” they yelled as one.
