“What?! Did you think you could hide your little secret forever?!” He was trying to push Blake and Rocky but they were holding him fightly with his
hands crossed behind him.
“Blake, let’s get him out of here” Rocky barked, understanding that Vince was crossing the line.
I watched them both drag a kicking and screaming Vince. He kept going on about how he was going to expose me to the world and tell everyone what I
was and who my mother was.
Taylor hugged me tightly. “Rosy, I have to tell mum and dad about this. They will be able to help she babbled.
“I don’t want them involved in this Tay. If Vince does what he’s saying then maybe it’s a good idea to keep your parents away from the drama” I whispered and walked over to sit on a barstool. Taylor was right next to me. She had a bottle of water in her hands for me. I took it from her with my shaky
hands and tried to drink some.
“Rosy, I’m so sorry… I didn’t know Vince would do something like this. My own brother is a monster!? What happened to him?!” I could hear the hurt in her voice. I tried to calm myself down and took deep breaths.
The thought of all the things Vince could have done just played in my head. He was definitely not the guy that I had said yes to being in a relationship with. I turned around and hugged Taylor tightly. She hugged me back and we sat there with my crying echoing in the kitchen.
The door opened and Blake and Rocky walked in. Rocky walked over and hugged me from behind, trapping me between him and Taylor. Blake lingered at the other side of the kitchen counter, watching me closely.
“Rosy, it’s going to be okay. We’re here for you. You know we would never let anything happen” Rocky tightened his arms around me. He was like a big brother. We had our fun banter and times where we joked with each other but I knew he was as protective as any big brother would.
I pulled away from Taylor and looked at Rocky. “Thank you” was all I managed and I hugged him. I looked over at Blake.
“Thank you” I said as loudly as
could. Blake just nodded and smiled at me.His smile didnt reach his eyes. I could see the anger still burning in them.
I pulled away from Rocky. “I’m so glad you all turned up. All I heard was the lift door ding and thanked god for someone being here.” I looked around
for them.
“Rosy….” Blake finally spoke. I looked at him. “Are you okay? Can we get you anything?” He asked. I could see the anger was replaced with concern in
his eyes.
“No, I’m okay, thank you. Just trying to recover from the fact that I called him my boyfriend. My first boyfriend and what a great start. Just when I wanted to start opening up to new things and trusting new people” fresh tears poured down. Taylor hugged me again and she was crying too.
I calmed myself down. “I’m going to go have a shower. Rocky, do you mind just heating the food up for me please? I’ll eat in bed.” I asked and he
nodded.

“Have a couple of days off work Rose. I’ll let Patrick know” Blake said as I got up.
“Thank you. I would appreciate that.” I replied and gave the nicest smile I could manage.
Taylor helped me to my shower. I was clumsy and she knew this.

Chapter 29
She let me go once I was in the bathroom and said something about getting me the food and something to drink.
I stripped off and got into the shower. The hot water hit my body and I sank to the floor. I sat there hugging my knees.
Vince knew the biggest secret of my life. How did he know?! Was he really going to tell everyone the part of my life I’d worked so hard to hide. Had he
met her?! Did she tell him?!?
So many questions were going through my head. Amongst that, another memory that Vince had made fresh in my head…. The memory of that dreadful day played in my head as well and I just closed my eyes trying to shut it off.
Why Vince why?!?! My tears were just not stopping. I was sitting in my shower crying over something that wasn’t my fault….
