Chapter 204
Marina felt a gentle warmth and a soft itch on her cheek, making her slowly blink awake.
Daron bent down over her, and when his gaze met Marina’s clear eyes, he couldn’t help but look a little flustered and guilty.
He cleared his throat, covering up his feelings, his voice low and husky. “Go back to your room and sleep. Don’t catch a cold.”
Marina’s head was spinning, and she really didn’t want to move. She managed to prop herself up, reached out, and wrapped her arms around Daron’s waist, snuggling her face right against his abs.
“No,” she replied, her tone playful and a little pouty.
Her face was pressed tightly against Daron’s stomach.
Daron’s eyes were deep and unreadable, his arm hanging loosely by his side. A storm of complicated emotions rolled in his
gaze.
He lifted his hand and rested his palm on Marina’s head, her hair slipping through his fingers.
Daron frowned, cupping the back of her head, gently but firmly making her look up at him.
Marina squirmed a bit, her messy hair brushing against his palm, clearly a little uncomfortable.
“Honey, stop it. I’m so sleepy,” she whined, her voice full of that sweet, spoiled tone and a hint of annoyance.
Daron’s deep eyes fixed on her face.
“Look closely. Who do you see?” he said in a calm and husky voice.
Marina tried to open her eyes, looked up at him for a moment, then hugged his waist even tighter, burying her face back
into his abs.
She didn’t say anything, but her affectionate gesture made Daron’s frown soften.
Even though he was already happy inside, he still wanted to hear her call his name.
“Who am I?” Daron asked again.
He reached out and tilted her chin up, his fingertips softly tracing along her jaw.
“Answer me,” his tone was demanding, but still gentle.
Daron’s fingers unconsciously tightened around her chin.
‘If she dares to say some other guy’s name, I’d seriously lose it and might even strangle her on the spot,‘ he thought.
Marina’s sleepy eyes fluttered, and she frowned as she mumbled, “My husband.”
Daron raised an eyebrow and asked, “And who’s your husband, huh?”
Marina pouted her lips. “You, of course.”
Daron showed a teasing smile, his gaze full of patient temptation.

“Who am I?” he asked, his tone soft.
Marina’s lips moved, but no words came out.
Daron leaned in closer.
“Say it again. I didn’t hear you,” he added, his voice low.
Marina tilted her head, her pretty eyes locked onto his face, full of affection.
Daron got lost in her clear eyes for a moment, his heart stumbling.
“Be good, tell me. Who am I?” he coaxed, his voice gentle and doting.
He wasn’t usually stubborn, but right now, he just needed to hear her say it.
Marina’s arms loosened from around his waist.
Daron paused, his gaze shifting, a flicker of emotion passing through his eyes.
But in the next moment, her soft arms slipped around his neck, and her face came in close. Her lips landed right on his.
The instant her soft lips touched his, Daron stiffened. His ears instantly flushed pink as he watched Marina kiss him, quick and shy.
He just sat there, not reacting at all, which made Marina scrunch up her nose in annoyance. She rubbed her nose against his, acting all cute but clearly a little miffed.
“Honey, are you upset?” she asked, her voice soft and full of concern.
Tonight, Daron’s reaction was different from her usual dreams.
Normally, she didn’t even have to make a move. He’d be all over her, showering her with affection.
‘What’s up with him tonight?‘ she thought, feeling a bit confused.
Marina moved back, trying to catch a glimpse of his expression, but she barely managed to pull away before Daron swooped in and caught her lips in a kiss.
Compared to her soft, shy peck, his kiss was far more intense and dominating.
He wrapped his arms tight around her waist, holding her so close it was like he wanted to fuse her with himself.
Marina was gasping for air, so she reached up and pushed him away, desperate to catch her breath.
Daron reluctantly let her go, clearly wanting more. He frowned, staring at Marina in his arms. Her cheeks flushed, breath coming fast, obviously affected. His mind was in chaos, barely able to hold himself back.
“Marina, this is all your fault for tempting me…” he muttered, his voice low and rough.
Marina kept her arms wrapped around his neck, refusing to let go. Hearing Daron mumbling to himself, she interrupted, clearly annoyed, “Carry me back to my room.”
Daron paused for a beat, squinting at her as he stared.
“Before anything else, tell me who I am?” he asked, his voice low and insistent.

Chapter 204
Marina just stared at him, staying silent.
Daron wouldn’t let it go, his voice soft and teasing. “Come on, be good. Just tell me who I am, and I’ll carry you back to your
room.”
Marina puffed out her cheeks, looking all pouty. “Honey, what’s gotten into you tonight?” she asked.
Why does he keep grilling me with this question? He never used to be like this. Seriously, we’re husband and wife!‘ she thought, feeling a little annoyed.
Daron stood his ground, making it clear that unless Marina gave him the answer he wanted, he simply wasn’t going to hold
her.
Marina stared at him in a daze, her lashes trembling. She leaned in, but Daron just stood there, never reaching out to hold
her.
She just felt so wronged.
In her dreams, Daron had never treated her this way.
He always indulged her every whim, doing whatever she wanted.
He’d never treated her this coldly before.
Marina’s eyes welled up with tears, and she started to sob quietly.
‘Is Daron really not into me, even in my dreams now?
‘Why is he acting like he doesn’t care about me in my dreams?‘ Marina wondered, feeling even more lost and hurt.
When Daron heard her crying, his handsome face twisted with complicated feelings.
Finally, like he was just giving in, he bent down and carried her off to her bedroom.
Marina curled up in his arms, crying her heart out, completely falling apart.
Daron just listened quietly, but he couldn’t help feeling a surge of irritation he couldn’t explain.
All the tenderness he’d shown her had vanished with her sobs, replaced by his usual icy, aloof demeanor.
Marina’s lashes were drenched with tears, making her look so miserable.
Daron lowered his gaze to her face, his eyes deep.
Seeing her cry for someone else was like a slap in the face, and it stung more than he cared to admit.
After Daron dumped Marina onto the bed with zero gentleness, she just cried even harder, her sobs echoing through the
room.
But Daron didn’t bother to comfort her at all. He just turned to leave without a second glance.
Marina felt very upset. She suddenly clung to the hem of his shirt.
Daron stopped and turned back to her.
He said in a low and serious tone, “Let go.”

Chapter 204
Marina wouldn’t let go. Instead, she clung to him even harder, her knuckles going white from the effort
You don’t love me anymore?” she whimpered, her voice shaky and full of hurt.
She tilted her head up to look at him, her face pale as a ghost, like her whole world had just fallen apart
Daron squeezed his eyes shut for a second, then said, “You’re drunk.”
If I can hold myself back from wringing her neck right now, that’s already me spoiling, her, he thought, exasperated.
Marina shook her head, her voice trembling. “I’m not drunk.”
She inched closer to Daron, her voice sweet and a little whiny as she continued, “Daron, I swear I’m not drunk?
Daron’s brow twitched as he looked down at her, his heart a tangled mess.
Marina bit her lip and murmured, “Daron, if you don’t love me anymore, we can just get a divorce.”
She thought, ‘Whether it is a dream or real life, if he doesn’t love me, then divorce it is.
It is not like I have to have him. But it still kind of hurt.‘
Marina couldn’t hold back her tears anymore, crying out as she glared at Daron, who just stood there, totally unfazed.
“This is my dream! Why do you have to hurt me?” she accused, her voice shaking with hurt.
‘Can’t he just let me have a good dream?‘ she thought, feeling even more frustrated.
