Chapter 380
“Every single day if you want,” Athena promised, and I could see tears forming in her eyes again. Damn hormones.

“Athena,” Sarah said gently, putting a hand on her shoulder. “Are you crying because Lily wants to visit the babies?”
“She’s just so sweet!” Athena wailed, which made Lily giggle and hug her aunt’s legs.
The mating ceremony was scheduled for tomorrow night, the full moon would be at its peak, and both our packs would gather to
witness our souls binding together for eternity.
As Alphas of neighboring packs and best friends, Orion and I had worked closely to coordinate everything, ensuring both the Crescent Moon Pack and my Silver Ridge Pack would be present for this momentous occasion.
The wedding ceremony was two days after that, the celebration with all our friends and loved ones.
A day after our mating ceremony would be just a formal party, for our human friends who knows we’re having two ceremonies.
People that knows nothing about the supernatural world.
But tomorrow night was for us. For the wolves. For the sacred ritual that would make Athena and me one in the eyes of the Moon
Goddess.
I found her that evening standing in the nursery again, her hand on her belly, looking at the room we’d created for our child.
‘Nervous?” I asked, coming up behind her and wrapping my arms around her.
“About tomorrow?” she asked. “A little. Are you?”
“Terrified,” I admitted. ‘Not because I have any doubts, but because it’s so… permanent. So powerful.”
1
‘Good permanent or bad permanent?”
“The best permanent,” I assured her, turning her to face me. “The kind of permanent where I get to spend eternity with you. Where our souls will recognize each other in every lifetime. Where nothing and no one can ever break what we have.”
“When you put it that way,” she said, smiling up at me, “It sounds pretty perfect,”
“It is perfect,” I said, kissing her softly. “You’re perfect. We’re perfect together. The Moon Goddess gave us both a second chance, and
I’m not going to waste a single moment of it.”
Her eyes softened at the mention of our second chance. We both knew how rare and precious this was, to find love again after loss, to
have another opportunity at the kind of happiness we’d both thought was gone forever.

Chapter 380
The next evening arrived with a clarity that seemed almost supernatural. The sky was cloudless, the air crisp and cool, and the full moon rose huge and bright, painting everything in silver light.
I stood in our bedroom, adjusting my ceremonial robes, deep midnight blue, embroidered with silver thread in patterns that
represented the Silver Ridge Pack and my bloodline as Alpha.
The silver wolf emblem of my pack was emblazoned on the back, marking me clearly as the leader of my people.
Orion arrived, wearing his own ceremonial robes as Alpha of the Crescent Moon Pack, deep forest green with gold embroidery, the
crescent moon symbol of his pack prominent on his chest.
As Athena’s brother and the Alpha of her birth pack, he would be performing the ceremony, officiating the binding of his sister to a
fellow Alpha.
‘Ready?” he asked, fixing the clasp at my shoulder with the ease of long friendship.
“More than ready,” I said. “Where’s Athena?”
‘With Sarah and the other women, getting ready,” he said. “You know you can’t see her before the ceremony. It’s tradition.”
“I know,” I said, though I missed her already. We’d barely been apart since moving into the house.
“Tristan,” Orion said seriously, putting a hand on my shoulder.

“I want you to know how happy I am for you. For both of you. When you told me you wanted to mate with her, when you asked for my blessing as her Alpha and her brother, I couldn’t think of anyone better. After everything she went through with Daxon, after the pain of rejection… seeing her this happy again, it means everything to me. And I trust you’ll keep making her happy, and she’ll do the same.”
“I’ll do everything in my power to make her happy, I promised. “To honor her, protect her, love her the way she deserves. To be the
mate she should have had the first time.”
‘I know you will, Orion said, his eyes getting slightly wet. “And after what you went through with Jess… I’m glad you found your way
to happiness again too. You both deserve this second chance.”
