The box was large.
But what it contained was pitifully little.
Just divorce papers and a medical report.
Mukesh froze.
Divorce?
I actually wanted to divorce him?
How was that possible?
After seeing what was written on the medical report, Grandfather Willibert slapped Mukesh hard across the face in front of everyone:
“You monster! Look what you’ve done! Had I known this would happen, I never would have let you marry Camelia! You’ve ruined her life, Mukesh!”
Seeing Grandfather nearly collapse from anger, other family members quickly helped him leave.
After everyone tactfully departed, Mukesh remained rooted to the spot, staring at the divorce papers in his hand.
After who knows how long, he tore the papers to shreds, his face expressionless.
Ignoring Elowen’s calls behind him, he took the keys from his driver and drove himself to the Aditi family estate.
Unfortunately, the old house was completely dark.
Rolling down his window, he waited at the courtyard entrance all night, smoking until his throat was raw and his voice hoarse. Mukesh never saw a single light come on.
It wasn’t until five days after the birthday celebration that he discovered I had left the country.
Why would I go abroad?
Was I that desperate to avoid him?
He’d only made a mistake that men all over the world make.

What gave me, Camella Aditi, the right to just disappear and demand a divorce?
He didn’t agree. He wouldn’t allow it!
After considerable effort to learn my exact location abroad, Mukesh immediately booked the earliest flight. He went straight from the school to the airport without even stopping home for luggage.
Just as he was about to check in, a teary–eyed Elowen found him.
“Mukesh, are you abandoning me and our baby?”
Glancing at her slightly rounded belly, Mukesh patted her head and said:
“I’ve had my assistant prepare a new place for you. Move there today.”
Hearing this, Elowen’s tears immediately surged:
“I’d live in a garbage dump if it meant being with you.
But our baby is innocent, Mukesh!
If Cameliatruly loved you, she’d treat our child as her own,
Willi Wall
Instead of deliberately ruining Grandfather’s birthday and humiliating you and the family in front of
everyone!
Someone like her-”
Before Elowen could finish venting, Mukesh coldly interrupted:
“What right do you have to judge my wife?”
“Elowen, I thought you understood your place. But now I see you clearly don’t.”
Taking the boarding pass from the staff, Mukesh looked down at Elowen with icy indifference:
“No matter how many children I have out there, Cameliawill always be my only wife.
And make sure you take all your things when you leave the mansion.
I don’t want Cameliagetting upset again by seeing anything of yours when she returns.”
Elowen stood there stunned, tears streaming down her face, before laughing bitterly at his retreating back:
“Ha! Mukesh Willibert, I never thought you’d be more naive than me.
Chapter &
After how deeply you’ve hurt her, how could she possibly come back?”
They say women understand women best, but Mukesh, striding away, paid no attention to Elowen’s words.
He knew his wife.
Throughout these nine years, no matter how angry I got with him,
All he needed to do was sincerely apologize and
Come gifts I liked, and he could immediately win me back.
But then again, this time I was angry enough to actually print out divorce papers.
Ordinary gifts certainly wouldn’t be enough.
