Chapter 201
Adam snorted at the sight. “There’s nothing more to say. Your opinion doesn’t matter,”
With that, he grabbed the person lying on the ground.
Margaery sat on the bed, shielding Amber. Her emotions were complex as she listened to the conversation outside. After a long moment, she came back to herself and looked at the assassin on the floor.
She wanted to say something, but in the end, said nothing.
He was just an assassin, doing the job for money.
It really was hard on Callum and the Wallen family, spending so much money.
She thought for a moment, looked at Wayne, and said in a very low voice, “I’ll follow your lead. Handle it however you see fit.”
Coming back from the shadow of death, Margaery felt as if she had survived a calamity. If not for the bigger picture, she would rather skin these two alive and throw them at Callum’s bedside.
But Dashnell wanted them alive.
That was fine. In the future, there would be witnesses against Callum.
Wayne nodded and dragged the people out.
The men were already crippled and needed no further guarding. He carried both by himself and headed to Dashnell’s residence.
He did not hand them over to the Inquisition Court.
Even if they were to be handed over, it would have to wait for Dashnell’s arrangements.
Russell asked Adam, “How is Margaery?”
Adam retorted indignantly, “You should mind the people you care about and stop worrying about Lady Margaery.”
Russell was left speechless by the rebuke.
But the room had already been torn apart and was no longer habitable, so he had no choice but to go downstairs and change rooms.
Not long after he left, Dashnell arrived.
“The things you asked for.”
He rolled in on his wheelchair, placed a package on the table, and said, “There are medicines, clothes, and Energy–Dissolving Powder inside.”

“I’ve already sent someone to apprehend the culprits.”

“But the door’s been broken, and it’s cold inside. Let’s change rooms.”

He looked at Margaery, a tide of distress surging in his eyes. After speaking, he stepped forward and embraced her.
The embrace was silent.
Margaery could hear his heartbeat, resonating through their clothes, sending a wave of bittersweet emotion through her heart.
She was already in such a state.
Only Dashnell was still willing to be so close to her.
Dashnell felt her body trembling, and his heart ached for her. While holding her, he gently stroked her hair and said hoarsely, “You have suffered.”
“Do you not mind, Your Highness?”
Margaery’s eyes reddened. People simply couldn’t be compared, and neither could love and indifference.
Upon seeing her like this, Nathaniel would not even step inside the door.
But Dashnell stepped forward and directly took her into his arms.
He held her in his heart. “I do not mind.”
Dashnell’s voice choked, “But next time, if anything happens, remember to discuss it with me. Do not resort to self–harm.”
The method was ingenious. He even felt admiration for it.
If it were him, he would have done the same.
Yet doing it himself and seeing the one he loved to do it was entirely different matters.
Falling in love with someone made one realize that the hardships one could once bear easily became unbearable pain when they happened to the person they loved.
Watching Margaery hurt herself to defeat her enemies, he felt deeply distressed.
She was just a sixteen–year–old girl.
In other families, parents would have already arranged her marriage and future. Everything would be prepared, and all she would need to do was find a reliable husband and bear children.
But Margaery had lost even her home.
Not only that, but the relatives who once lived under the same roof now wanted her dead.

How much pain had she carried in her heart?

Dashnell tightly gripped her hand and pressed it to his face. “Even if you truly ruin your appearance and remain this way, I will never mind.”
It wasn’t that he didn’t have a love for beauty.
Rather, when he truly held someone in his heart, his own aesthetic preferences became irrelevant. He only cared whether the other person was sad, lonely, or in pain.
He would never let her fall into such a desperate situation.
Margaery felt she had already become very strong.
Since her rebirth, she had hardly cried.
But this time, the tears would not stop flowing. “It can be cured. This is not some special poison. My mentor said it was just an ordinary blister. Taking the antidote would simply peel a layer of skin.”
Dashnell had just come from Craig, so he naturally knew the truth.
Rather than calling it a poison, it would be more accurate to call it a kind of medicine.
A few years ago, some people in the Eastvale Empire contracted a strange illness. Black bumps appeared on their bodies and itched unbearably. It was treated with this very method, causing the outer layer of skin to rot and expel the black pus.
Once all the pus was drained, new skin would naturally grow.
The ingenious part was that this house contained medicine that promoted skin regeneration, which filled in the uneven areas on the skin’s surface.
Therefore, recovery was very quick.
However, before healing, one had to endure some suffering.
“But.” She smiled at Dashnell, “I am still very happy to hear Your Highness say that.”
“After all, I am just an ordinary person. I like to hear sweet words. They make me feel that the world is not so
bitter.”
Dashnell thought of the hardships Margaery had suffered in her previous life, and now she had to endure these again. His heart felt as if it were being cut by a knife.
But seeing her smile, he felt a sudden warmth in his heart.
He patted Margaery’s head and said, “Tomorrow, I will secretly follow you. Whatever you wish to do, without worry.”

Margaery nodded, “Thank you, Your Highness.”
But she was a bit embarrassed. “It’s just that tonight, Your Highness cannot stay. The blisters on my body cannot be squeezed yet; I must give them a chance to act. If you are here, they probably won’t dare.”
Dashnell joked upon hearing this, “Are you disliking me now?”
Margaery was amused by him. “How would I dare?”
Dashnell chuckled, “Then have a good rest tonight. I also have some matters to attend to. Let’s meet tomorrow.”
Dashnell glanced at the door. In fact, he wanted to stay.
However, Margaery had limited manpower. He was worried there might be loopholes in this matter and needed to make more thorough arrangements.
Additionally, the matter of establishing Wellspring Hall had to be added to the agenda. It could not be delayed.
Some matters were also best handled at night.
Margaery knew he was busy, so she reminded him, “Your Highness, you should rest early and not stay up too late.”
“I’ll do as you say.” Dashnell turned back at the doorway, his eyes filled with affection.
Margaery’s heart skipped a beat. For some reason, she thought of the scene of the two of them living together in the future.
‘Will it be like this as well?‘ she thought.
Just imagining it made her heart feel sweet.
After seeing him out, she opened the package and checked its contents, waiting for Keaton to be brought back, and asked Adam, “Are the two maids from the Eastern Palace still here?”
Because of the incident next door, Russell had moved downstairs.
If those two from the Eastern Palace were not here, only their own people would remain on this floor, making things even more confidential.
“Prince Nathaniel left not long ago, and the two of them went out as well. They haven’t returned yet. Who knows where they went?”
Adam sneered at this, mocking, “The latest news says Prince Nathaniel has already entered the palace. If he meets with the King, he’s most likely going to discuss the annulment.”
“His father plans for him, yet he acts like a clown.”

Chapter 201
Margaery was speechless upon hearing this.
However, the annulment was what Margaery wanted.
Such was the warmth and coldness of the human heart.
But for Nathaniel to do it this way, it looked rather ugly.
But it was better for others to look bad than for themselves.
