Lucius‘ throat worked as cold sweat streamed down his forehead. His legs were trembling uncontrollably. “It was all a huge misunderstanding, Mr. Howard! I had no idea she was your grandmother, so please have mercy and give me another chance!
“I’ll sign over 70% of my company’s shares and cover all of Mrs. Howard Senior’s medical bills-”
Ethan immediately cut him off, barking, “That’s enough! Do you think I care about shares or money? Do you think I’m short on cash? I’m going to make you pay back a thousandfold for what you put my grandmother through today!”
Belinda spiraled into a total panic and dropped to her knees at Ethan’s feet. Tears were streaming down her face. ” I had nothing to do with any of this, Mr. Howard! You saw the footage–Lucius was the one who insisted on taking that seat for me! I never even laid a finger on your grandmother!”
Lucius widened his eyes in disbelief after hearing that. “What the hell are you talking about, Belinda? How could you stab me in the back when I was just looking out for you when I took that seat?”
Belinda ignored his outburst, focusing instead on her usual routine of playing the victim to beg for mercy. “I know I’m to blame as well; I should have stepped in and stopped him sooner. I hope you’ll have mercy on me since I’m carrying a baby.”
Lucius marched over and gripped Belinda’s shoulders in fury. “You ungrateful bitch! Have you forgotten who’s been spending a fortune on you all this time? That child you’re carrying is mine, too!”
I was genuinely taken aback by what he said.
Belinda shoved him aside. “You spent that money because you wanted to, so don’t try to guilt–trip me now! I’m the one carrying the child, so it belongs to me alone! It has nothing to do with you!”
“Why, you!” Lucius swung his hand back to slap her, but the bodyguards were quicker, promptly restraining the pair of them.
I was highly entertained watching them tear each other apart. I did my best to keep a straight face and not laugh at the ridiculousness of it all.
Ethan instructed the bodyguards, “Get these two out of my sight and make sure they are ‘well looked after‘ before you turn them over to the police. Get our legal team on the phone. I want them charged with felony assault. I’m

I stood there watching as the bodyguards led Lucius and Belinda away. I was just about to make my exit when Ethan called out to me, stopping me in my tracks.
