Chapter 103
Seeing that Aurora wasn’t joking at all, Isabella started to panic.
Isabella knew Aurora was tough to deal with, so she turned to Hannah with a pitiful look. “Hannah, I swear I never meant to keep that money for myself. I was scammed, too.
“They blocked all my contacts. They’re clearly trying to dodge paying me back. I’m really anxious. I’ve been working hard to make money to cover the loss.
“Logan actually told me not to do it. He said he’d help me. I’m not lying. If you don’t believe me, I can call Logan. He can back me up.”
With that, Isabella pulled out her phone and called Logan.
Logan was still driving. Seeing Isabella blow up his phone with call after call, his patience was wearing thin, so he just hung up on her.
Logan couldn’t deny that Isabella had saved his life back then. But honestly, he’d been repaying that debt for years. He’d even let it mess things up between him and Eliana.
Logan was done letting Isabella drag him down, and he didn’t want to hear another word from her right now.
Isabella kept calling, but Logan just hung up on her every time. Her face went very pale in an instant.
Isabella could feel Hannah and Aurora watching her, and her nerves were shot. She couldn’t bring herself to meet their eyes.
Head bowed, Isabella stared at her phone after yet another call got rejected. Her mind was in overdrive, frantically trying to figure out what to say.
But Aurora cut her off, her tone sharp with impatience, “Mom, you saw it yourself. Even Logan’s done with her, won’t even answer her calls. Why should we feel sorry for her anymore?
“It’s been days. If we don’t call the police now, that money’s as good as gone. The company’s barely staying afloat, and Logan’s desperate for cash. We can’t afford to go easy on her.”
With that, Aurora saw Hannah finally relent. Without a hint of hesitation, Aurora grabbed her phone and dialed the police.
Isabella was scared out of her wits and hurriedly tried to call Logan again.
Aurora was seriously fed up. She knocked the phone right out of Isabella’s hand. “Isabella, do you have any self–respect at all? Logan’s hung up on you three times already.
“Either he’s busy, or he just doesn’t want to talk to you. Can’t you see that? Why do you keep pestering him like this? You really have no shame.”
She added, “Mom and Logan are just too easygoing with you; that’s why you keep taking advantage of them again and again.

“But I’m not going to show you any mercy. When you tried to scam my mom with those fakes, you should’ve been ready to face the consequences.”
With that. Aurora dialed the police again.
As Isabella listened to Aurora seriously explaining everything to the police, she just went limp, feeling all the strength drain out of her.
3 million was enough to get one thrown in jail.
If Hannah really went after her, Isabella would probably end up doing a few years inside.
Her breath was shaky, her face pale as a sheet. Isabella glanced at Hannah again, desperately hoping her mom would show her some mercy.
But Hannah wouldn’t even look her way.
Isabella just sank to the floor, all the fight drained out of her as she hit rock bottom.
Meanwhile, Logan finally got some peace when his phone stopped blowing up. He let out a sigh of relief and kept driving toward the coffee shop.
After parking, Logan didn’t get out right away. He called Andrew. “Make sure you get some shots of the three of us together with Samuel, got it?
“I’ll set up a few warm, family–friendly scenes; you need to capture every one of them. The company’s using these photos for crisis PR, and I don’t trust anyone else, so you’re the only one I can count on.
“When we leave the coffee shop, you follow us. No mistakes, got it?”
Once Andrew agreed, Logan finally relaxed. He turned to Samuel in the back seat. “Samuel, let’s get out of the
car.”
Samuel nodded, his eyes wide with curiosity. “Dad, why do you want someone to take pictures of us?”
Logan’s gaze softened, and he spoke earnestly, “Because I want your mom to come home.”
Logan continued, “If everyone sees we’re a happy family together, those people trying to take your mom away will back off. She won’t get brainwashed and actually leave us.
“That’s why these photos are super important. Later, Samuel, see if you can help Mom get closer to me.”
He added, “But we can’t let your mom know someone’s taking pictures. If she finds out, she won’t act natural. If she doesn’t play along, our whole plan could fall apart, and she might really decide not to come back.
“So, Samuel, can you keep this a secret?”
Samuel nodded with determination. “Don’t worry, Dad. I can do it.”

Logan nodded, “That’s what I wanted to hear.”
With that, Logan got out of the car first, walked around to the back, and scooped Samuel up in his arms.
Once they were out, Logan took Samuel by the hand and headed straight for the coffee shop.
Eliana was always punctual; she was already there waiting. As soon as she saw Samuel coming, she set down her coffee and walked over.
Samuel hadn’t seen Eliana in a whole month, and he’d been missing her like crazy. He let go of Logan’s hand and dashed over, hugging her tight. “Mom, I missed you so much.”
Eliana froze for a second, caught completely off guard.
Honestly, this was the first time in both her lives she’d ever been treated this way.
It was almost laughable. Back in her previous life, she’d poured her heart out for him, but not once did she hear a single word of affection from her child, not even at the very end.
Yet now, after just a month apart, Samuel was showering her with love. Eliana’s heart was a whirlwind of emotions.
But Samuel was her son, after all. She wasn’t going to let his attitude get to her, but as his mom, if he wanted her to spend time with him now and then, she couldn’t really say no.
Seeing how Samuel reacted, Eliana bent down and picked him up, then turned to Logan. “Thanks for bringing him. I’ll be with him today and bring him back tonight.”
With that, Eliana carried Samuel over to the counter, planning to order him something mild and healthy.
But when she turned around after placing the order, she realized Logan was still standing there, making no move to leave.
