As Daron slid onto the bed, Marina’s skin tingled with heat wherever he touched her. The burning sensation made her cheeks flush, and her heart started pounding faster before she even realized it.
Once Daron was in bed, he could instantly sense how tense Marina was. His eyes grew darker as he shot her a deep, lingering look, a chill flickering in his gaze. With a heavy motion, he rolled over and turned his back to her.
Marina took a deep breath, trying to steady her nerves, but the faint scent of Daron kept drifting into her nose, making her even more awake. No matter what she tried, sleep just wouldn’t come.
She stole a glance at Daron’s back, then quietly turned over herself, facing away from him.
‘Maybe this will help a little,‘ she thought to herself.
But just as she turned over, Daron suddenly rolled back to face her, yanking her into his arms and making her face him whether she wanted to or not.
“Don’t you dare turn your back on me,” Daron commanded.
His tone was authoritative, thick with irritation and barely restrained impatience.
Marina was speechless.
‘Wasn’t he the one who turned his back on me first?‘ Marina grumbled to herself. “Talk about double standards…
Daron pulled her close, noticing how tense she was. His voice was deep and a bit stern as he spoke.
“You really want to sleep all stiff like this? Your muscles are gonna be sore tomorrow,” he said.
As he spoke, he started gently massaging her leg, hoping to help her loosen up.
But as he kept massaging, his hands started wandering, the vibe shifting to something much more intimate.
His hand started to travel up her leg, and when Marina didn’t resist, he leaned over, pressing closer to her.
“Since you can’t sleep, let’s just keep doing things that’ll keep you awake,” he murmured.
Marina stared at his handsome face, so close she could feel his breath. She hesitated for a moment, then nodded
Almost the instant she nodded, Daron leaned down and captured her lips in a deep kiss.
Marina had no idea how long they’d been at it. All she knew was hat after it was over. Daron was still full of energy. He carried her to the shower, cleaned her up, and then gently laid her back in bed.
She was so tired that her eyes were barely open..
Daron hadn’t been getting much rest lately, and honestly, neither had she.
She’d always had trouble sleeping at night, but after everything that happened tonight, her body inust ve kirked to sell preservation mode.
She snuggled into Daron’s arms, finding a cozy spot in rest.
Daron looked down at Marina, noticing how she was no longer use. She was utterly relaxed, almost melting inte he embrace

Daron tightened his hold around her, his eyes overflowing with warmth and adoration.
He bent down and kissed her forehead, his deep, dark eyes filled with a lingering, unspoken devotion.
The next morning, Marina blinked in surprise. Daron was already up and gone. If she weren’t still lying in this bed, she’d almost think last night was nothing but a dream.
She tossed off the covers and got up, heading to the bathroom. Her eyes landed on the counter, where all her stuff was already set out, neat and tidy.
A blue cup and a pink cup sat side by side, each with a toothbrush inside. Someone had clearly arranged them with care.
Marina hadn’t seen any other staff in the villa since she’d been with Daron, so it had to be him who did all this.
She reached out and picked up her toothbrush, unable to stop a smile from curling at her lips.
After she finished getting ready, she headed downstairs and heard some noise coming from the kitchen. She walked over and saw Daron there, busy making breakfast.
He seemed to be in a great mood, actually humming a tune.
Marina couldn’t help but be surprised at seeing this side of Daron.
But whatever he was humming sounded completely unfamiliar
“Can I help with anything?” She walked into the kitchen and came to stand next to Daron.
Daron glanced over at her, a small smile playing on his lips.
“Just bring this out for me,” he said, passing her a plate.
He handed her the plate.
Marina took the plate and looked down. There was a heart–shaped fried egg sitting right in the middle.
She smiled softly, her lips curving up without even thinking about it. His good mood must be infectious, because suddenly, she felt lighter too.
Breakfast today was oatmeal, a heart–shaped fried egg, and a glass of warm milk.
Daron had made it all himself.
“Wow, I didn’t know you could cook like this,” Marina said, a hint of surprise in her voice.
She’d never pictured Daron as someone who actually knew his way around a kitchen.
Daron handed her the glass of milk, his voice gentle and rich.
“Just some basic survival skills, really,” he replied.
“Ms. Finley dropped off your clothes earlier this morning. They in the walk–in closet. Daton mentioned casually
Marina nodded. “Alright, I’ll go sort them out after breakfast.”
Daron just shot her a look, saying nothing.
Marina had no idea what that look was supposed to mean
After finishing breakfast, Marina went upstairs and stepped into the walk–in closet. To her surprise, every single outht she

Marina was lost for words.
Daron was quick to change.
He slipped on his suit pants in no time.
He threw on his shirt, buttons still undone, and walked straight toward her.
He started buttoning up as he came closer.
