Bobby watched Logan’s reaction and smiled. “Mr. Turner already discussed everything with you, so now, it’s your call. You know how busy he is. He can’t keep putting things off because of you.
“If you agree to his terms, you can sign the contract right now. Once you do what he asked, he’ll pay you, just like he said.”
“But he also said that if you hesitate again, don’t bother coming back. He doesn’t have time to keep dragging this out with you. You know he’s just starting to expand into the domestic market, so he’s really busy.”
Bobby didn’t hold back at all. He just said it straight to Logan.
As Bobby’s words hit home, Logan’s face fell.
Logan was burning up inside, but with nowhere to let it out. He just had to grit his teeth and hold it in.
After he left last time, Logan tried everything, like loan companies and VCs, anyone who might help. But nobody dared to throw that kind of cash at him in this situation.
Even Hannah didn’t hesitate to say no.
Logan was totally cornered now.
If he’d had even the tiniest chance, he wouldn’t have shown his face here again so soon, wouldn’t have had to swallow his pride like this.
He really had nowhere else to go.
So, even when Nathan’s assistant gave him attitude like that, Logan just had to suck it up.
Logan stood there for a while, fists clenched, before finally meeting Bobby’s gaze. “So, what you mean is, if I don’t sign this contract today, that’s it, right? Nathan’s done with this and won’t talk to me about it anymore?”
Bobby nodded. “Exactly. Mr. Turner said since this is your second time here, you’ve clearly thought it over. If you still don’t want to sign, then you’re on your own.”
Logan let out a bitter laugh, the realization hitting him hard. Nathan had played him like a fiddle from the very start.
He shot Bobby a cold look. “So, this is Mr. Turner’s grand scheme, huh? Luring me in, step by step, just to trap me here in the end?”
Bobby kept his expression steady and spoke seriously. “I have no idea what you’re talking about, but it’s clear Mr. Turner can’t force you to do anything. Everything is based on your own willingness.
“If you’re not up for it, nobody’s going to twist your arm.
“I mean, you’re not exactly easy to fool, are you?”
Bobby’s words were calm and collected, but they left Logan stuck between a rock and a hard place.
He wasn’t even able to call Nathan out now.
Just like Bobby said, if he tried to complain, he’d only make himself look like an idiot.
Nathan’s move was ruthless. He’d led Logan right into his trap, and even though this was exactly what he wanted from the start, now, he could just sit back like he’s got nothing to do with waiting for Logan to conic begging.
Logan felt completely defeated, but he forced himself to let it go for now. He looked at Bobby and said. ‘So, where’s the

Bobby nodded. “Exactly, Mr. Turner doesn’t like to waste time. Whether you sign or not, we always have the paperwork ready ahead of time.
“So, you’re signing then?”
Logan mumbled, “Yeah.”
“Alright, just a moment,” Bobby said, turning to grab the contract
He handed it over to Logan and reminded him, “Mr. Eliot, make sure you read it carefully. Once you sign, it’s official, and there’s no backing out after that.”
Bobby was just trying to help, but to Logan, it just sounded like salt in the wound.
He didn’t respond, just carefully looked over the contract, then put his signature down.
The contract was pretty straightforward. As long as Logan divorced Eliana and handed over 30% of the project’s profits to Nathan, Turner Group would give him the initial funding, no questions asked.
As soon as Logan put his signature down, it was like he’d just signed away his pride. He felt a wave of shame and frustration that he couldn’t even put into words.
He couldn’t stand to stay here any longer. As soon as he signed, he just wanted to get out of there.
But as he stood up, he couldn’t help but ask, “So, when will Edward transfer the money to me?”
“Mr. Eliot, it’s all right there in the contract. The money gets sent over the day after you’ve done what you promised.
“So, once the court signs off on your divorce, the cash will be in your account the very next day,” Bobby said.
Bobby hadn’t wanted to lay it all out, but Logan kept asking, so he just had to spell it out for him.
When Logan realized that Bobby was fully aware of what the contract actually required, his expression soured even more.
With a storm raging inside, he bit back everything he wanted to say and just walked off in a hurry.
On the other side, Eliana couldn’t help feeling nervous as she talked with Richard about what she needed to watch out for in
court tomorrow.
Since Eliana wasn’t trying to claim any of the Eliot family’s assets, the divorce case itself wasn’t all that tough.
The real snag was Logan flat–out refusing to split, and on top of that, he was demanding Eliana give back the land, insisting it was a legit gift from his parents when they got married.
So for the past few days, every conversation had been about that land. Richard kept drilling into Eliana that she had to get all the details straight and be ready to lay it out in court.
Just as Richard was reviewing everything one last time, he got a message.
Seeing it was from Nathan, he opened it up.
(Mr. Luther, you’ve got this in the bag tomorrow. No need to stress, and don’t even think about thanking me.
That was classic Nathan. He was always a bit offbeat and never one to play by the rules.
