Chapter 66
Just like every morning, Blake went for a run and made me breakfast after he got back. He said since I made dinner last night, breakfast was his responsibility. I was confused by his statement since he made me breakfast every morning anyway. We talked a lot
about wedding plans during and after dinner. Sue had mentioned she
knew an amazing wedding planner and we could get his help once we
were ready. But I thought Blake and I could discuss things like how
many people we wanted to invite, where the venue was going to be,
what season it was going to be and most of all, who we wanted to
invite.
Blake insisted we invite my mother and I insisted we didn’t. She
was going to show up drunk or high, in some kind of very
inappropriate clothing. Did Blake really want that around family and
friends?
When I finally went to bed, the realisation hit me hard. I was
engaged. I was planning a wedding. I was going to be a wife. I was
going to be a daughter in law. Was I going to be a good wife?! Fuxk,
what was I doing? I tossed and turned in bed for hours. I couldn’t
sleep from all the thinking I was doing. However, that wasn’t the only
thing keeping me awake.
After Blake’s proposal, we had spent the 2 nights in the game room.

Chapter 66
His parents had been so caught up with making me meet and greet everyone that I usually fell asleep on the car ride home. Blake would carry me up to his room and we both slept in the same bed. I woke up every morning wrapped in Blake’s arms after having the most restful sleep. I pretended to get angry at him in the morning, but the truth was that I secretly loved it. I loved his cuddles and his warmth. I
really starting to get cozy with the thought of spending my life with
him.

Although tonight, my bed felt empty. I felt cold and alone. My mind and heart both kept begging me to go up the stairs and climb into Blake’s bed. I shoved those thoughts to the back of my mind and
reminded myself that we still had so much to learn about each other.
It must have been around 3 or 4 am when I finally closed my eyes.
I felt drowsy and exhausted when Blake woke me up for breakfast.
My head was pounding and my chest felt a little tight. After breakfast,
Blake left to pick up his suit for the Gala. When he finally came back,
he had a bouquet in his hands.
“You know what I realised? I don’t even know what your favourite
flowers are. So, for now, these beauties will do.” He said handing me
the bouquet.
“Oh Blake, these are beautiful. Thank you. What’s the occasion?”
“No occasion. I don’t need a reason to buy you flowers babe. Now,

do tell, what’re your favourites?” He pressed a quick kiss on my
forehead and grabbed a vase for me to put the bouquet in.
“Cherry blossoms and yellow roses. Sometimes orchids too” I
started arranging the flowers in the vase.
“How fitting! Roses for Rosy” a big grin appeared on his face and I
stuck out my tongue at him.
“When your ready, can you please take me to the office? I would
have taken the bus but I don’t want my dress getting ruined” I placed
the vase on the counter and admired them. He was so thoughtful.

“Right, well I’m ready to go when you are. What colours your
dress?” He asked.
2
“Why?”
“Just curious” he shrugged his shoulders.
“Well, you know how you did your little stunt last night and
walked around half–naked. This is payback. You can see what I’m
wearing at the Gala this evening” I gave him a sweet smile and he laughed.

“Fine. Anything I do after that is on you.” He winked at me and
gave me a cheeky smile.
“Whatever. Lemme go grab my things and we can go. Can you
please let me into your office?” I walked around the counter and
towards my room.
“As long as you promise not to leave it smelling like hairspray” he
laughed and grabbed his keys.
