Chapter 310
After Durif left, Leo brought up the old issue again.
Leo said, “Dad, Victor is already grown up. If he’s not officially listed in the Zamora family register, people will definitely start talking when it comes to his marriage.
“If I really did something wrong, I’ve already paid my dues. I married Hayley and moved to Frency, just like you wanted. That should be enough. Besides, Wilhelmina’s death was just an accident. It had nothing to do with me.
“You can’t just put this off again just because Durif came by.”
Harris glanced at Leo, paused for a few seconds, and then spoke in a calm tone.
“Since you feel so strongly about this, why didn’t you bring up moving Wilhelmina’s tablet back to the Blanchard family when Durif was here?” Harris asked.
“Durif made his point clear. Victor can be listed under anyone’s name, just not Wilhelmina’s. If you’re so determined to add Victor to the Zamora family register, why didn’t you sort all this out earlier? Now Durif came knocking and gave us a piece of his mind, humiliating us in the process,” Harris continued.
Under Harris’s piercing glare, Leo lowered his head.
Harris snorted in disdain and kept scolding him.
“It’s as if you tossed everything I taught you to the dogs,” Harris snapped.
As he spoke, Harris thumped his cane against the floor, his expression grim and imposing.
At that moment, Verena didn’t dare to make a sound. She kept her head down and stood quietly to the side.
Victor sat next to Leo, his hands clenched so tight at his sides that his knuckles turned white. He frowned, glaring at Daron as he walked in, his eyes full of envy and frustration.
They were both Leo’s sons, but in the Zamora family, they got treated worlds apart.
Victor didn’t think he was any less capable than Daron. He just felt like the Zamora family never let him show what he could do.
Seeing Harris’s attitude shift, Leo glanced over at Matthew, who was supposed to be his ally in this.
Matthew was the one he’d brought in to put in a good word for him.
But after Durif had mocked him earlier, Matthew felt too humiliated to speak up and just stayed silent.
Seeing how things were going, Leo shut his eyes for a moment, took a deep breath, and said in a steady, resolute tone, “Dad,
no matter what anyone says, Victor is joining the Zamora family officially today.”
Harris shot Leo a cold, expressionless look and said in a low, commanding voice, “Under whose name?”
Leo clenched his fists, speaking in a low, determined voice, “Under my name.”
Edmund let out a soft sigh and spoke in a low voice, “How do we record his birth mother?”
Verena looked up at Leo, a faint smile playing at her lips.

In the end, Leo spoke up, his voice low and resolute, “Mother: Unknown
His voice was just loud enough for everyone in the living room to hear clearly.
A flash of disbelief crossed Verena’s eyes as she looked at Leo, unable to believe it
‘Even after all this, he still refuses to let my name appear in the Zamora family reccnd Verena though, Corting exer st disappointment.
“Dad?” Victor blurted out.
Victor stared at Leo in shock, unable to believe he’d just called his own mother “unknown”
Leo rebuked him in a low, stern voice, “Sit down.”
Victor gritted his teeth, resentment burning in his chest, but he could only obey and take has seat
Daron walked over and sat down next to Marina.
Victor locked eyes with him, and Daron’s laid–back, almost indifferent vibe just made Victor feel like he was shade from every direction.
Leo let out a heavy sigh. Seeing that everyone’s reaction had calmed down, he turned to Harris, who was seated at the feed of the table.
“Dad, does this arrangement work for you?” Leo asked.
Harris didn’t respond. He just swept his gaze over everyone in the room.
“What do you all think?” he said.
Matthew really wasn’t in the mood to talk anymore. He just muttered a half–hearted “yeah” and kept for
Edmund paused for a moment, then said quietly, “Back in the day, maybe, but these days, we haven’t had sporer Zamora family whose mother wasn’t known.”
Leo’s face shifted, his voice low and determined.
“Edmund, as long as Victor is my son, does it really matter who his mother is? Whether we write it daws important,” Leo said, not backing down.
As he spoke, he pulled out the paternity test results and put them on display for everyone to we
Leo said, “Here’s the proof. Victor is my son.

Chapter 310
“Let me set the record straight. That’s not happening. Victor will only inherit the shares 1 hold. None of you have to hand over any of your shares to him.”
In recent years, there just weren’t many sons born into the Zamora family, so there was this unwritten rule among them
Whenever a boy was born and made it to eighteen, the elders would each hand over some of their shares as a way to show their support.
It had been a long time since the family had a new son, so nobody’s shares had changed in ages.
Everyone had pretty much forgotten about it, but now that Leo brought it up, Matthew looked visibly displeased.
He thought, ‘If Durif hadn’t come by earlier, Harris wouldn’t have had to refuse Victor’s entry just to keep up appearances. I would’ve played right into Leo’s hands.
‘Once Victor officially joined the Zamora family, he’d show up with his people, asking for those shares I owed. Even if I didn’t want to give them up, I’d just have to suck it up and hand them over
Once he realized what was going on, Matthew shot Leo a cold glare, but didn’t say a word to stop him.
Since Leo had already made it clear he wouldn’t be asking for any shares from the others, no one had anything left to say.
Right now, Daron was calling all the shots in the Zamora family.
If Victor could actually manage to take some shares from Daron, that’d mean maybe Daron’s not as unbeatable as he seems.
Seeing that no one spoke up, Leo glanced over at Harris.
“Dad, your call,” Leo said.
Harris glanced over at Daron.
Daron didn’t say a word. He just sat there at ease, idly toying with Marina’s hand in his grasp.
Harris’s eyes grew cold and serious, and he finally said in an icy voice, “Daron, got anything to say?”
When Harris called on him, Daron glanced up, his face giving nothing away.
He answered in a cool, unfazed tone, “Whatever you decide, Grandpa. It’s your call. I’ve got nothing to add.”
Harris snorted.
“Since you’ve got nothing to add, we’ll go with your dad’s decision. All the elders are here as witnesses, so don’t come running to me with complaints later,” Harris said, making it clear this was final.
Daron smirked, his voice low and relaxed.
“Grandpa, I’m not some three–year–old throwing tantrums. When have I ever come running to you, making a scene?” Daron teased.
“Pretty sure you’re mixing me up with someone else,” he added, shooting a glance at Leo.
Leo’s face instantly darkened.
‘Bringing Verena and Victor here today. Am I not the one making a scene? Daron was definitely throwing shade at me. Leo realized, his jaw tightening.
