Chapter 59 Reconnaissance–strike Integrated Drone System
Ten days flew by in a flash.
During those ten days, Iris spent her mornings taking Logan out to expand their territory and her evenings using the territory points she’d earned to reinforce the base.
At the same time, she split up the crystal cores they collected each day, recycling some through the system and keeping the rest to make evolution liquid for boosting both her and Logan’s
powers.
They hadn’t run into any high–level zombies during that time.
The suburbs had very few zombies to begin with, and even fewer that actually had crystal cores. Iris pushed all the way from the outer suburbs into the urban outskirts, clearing every zombie between her bunker and the city edges. Even after all that, she’d only collected around 30 cores.
The cores might have been scarce, but the evolution liquid they produced visibly boosted both her and Logan’s powers. They were both improving rapidly.
Her bunker base had also been completely reinforced inside and qut with system materials. The transformation was dramati§9:46

breach her base.
Iris had also discovered tons of base equipment in the system’s special shop.
When she saw protective gear including tactical vests for combat dogs, she didn’t hesitate for a second. She bought a full set of system–brand protection for each of her 16 dogs without batting an eye, spending 100 points per set.
Beyond that, there were base defense systems, radar systems, and integrated reconnaissance–strike drone packages.
The radar system was self–explanatory, but the drone package was something else entirely.
It was a complete surveillance and strike system that could control multiple drones simultaneously, patrolling her territory around the clock. When the drones detected intruders, they’d automatically alert Iris, and she could authorize strikes with a single button press from inside her base.
The drones operated in eight–hour shifts with automatic rotations for 24/7 monitoring coverage,
It was absolutely essential equipment for any serious base. The only problem was the price tag. This system cost 100 thousand points for the complete package.

points, so for now, all she could do was window shop and drool
over it.
Her next major goal was getting that reconnaissance–strike drone system. The listing showed it was only available for ten more days as a limited–time offer.
She did some quick math in her head. Right now, between expanding her territory and killing zombies, she was pulling in roughly three thousand points per day.
Territory expansion didn’t pay as well as zombie hunting, but the real problem was that she’d cleared out all the zombies in her immediate area. She needed to find somewhere with higher population density if she wanted to rack up kills.
Iris pulled up her electronic map and studied the areas around her suburban location carefully. Her gaze gradually settled on a massive grain processing plant on the edge of the city limits.
A factory! Iris remembered this was Aster City’s largest grain processing facility, and it employed tens of thousands of workers.
Each crystal core was worth a hundred points. If even just a thousand out of 10 thousand workers had cores, that would be enough.
gan, we’re hitting up a factory today.” Iris emerged mothe6

bloodstains covered everything, but there wasn’t a single person in sight.
It wasn’t hard to imagine what had happened when everything went to hell. Someone on that bus must have turned, the driver lost control and crashed into the ditch, and in a panic, hit the emergency door release.
People scattered in every direction after that, some running, some being chased. The whole area must have been absolute
chaos.
The factory’s main gate was shut tight though. Iris pulled the vehicle up to the entrance, and everything inside looked dead silent. Even the security booth stood empty.
Could they have been on holiday that day? No way. Even if the factory had been closed for a holiday, plenty of people would still be inside. This was a live–in facility with dormitories, and workers rotated through shifts constantly. There should’ve been tons of people here no matter what.
This place had to be crawling with zombies. Iris told Logan to gun it, and the armored vehicle smashed violently through the gates and rolled into the sprawling factory complex.
A massive industrial complex appeared in front of them. The place was divided into residential buildings, a cafeteria area, factory floors, and administrative offices.

Iris pulled her truck up to the dormitory building first. “Alright, let’s go kill some zombies!”
“Hell yeah!”
The doors swung open and Iris, Logan, and their eight dogs assembled in front of the factory dorms. Time to clear the easy areas first.
