Chapter 117
The bar was literally a 2–minute walk from the Cooper & Co building.
It was a cute little tiki bar with both indoor and outdoor seating.
Jeremy had called ahead and booked a table in the outdoor section.
Once we got to the bar, everyone shattered themselves around the
table. Lilly excused herself to go ti the bathroom, and I found us a
seat near the end of the table.
“Hey Rosy, I’ll get you a drink to say thank you for today, and also
that I’m sorry for my stupidity” Greg smiled.
The boy was relentless.
“Okay then. Cranberry and vodka, please.”
Greg nodded and walked away.
Lilly came back with a drink and took a seat next to me. As expected,
she started chatting away with the other staff. She was a social
butterfly,
Greg wasn’t gone long. When he returned, he put my drink in front
of me and gave me a big smile. I raised my glass towards him and
thanked him for the drink. My throat was dry and the cold liquid

looked so tempting. I took a big swig of my drink, and without even
realizing it, I had finished the glass in 3 big guzzles.
“Wow, that was quick. Want another one?” Greg laughed.
“It’s okay, I’ll get it,” I said, reaching for my handbag.
“I got it! Don’t worry” he got up and walked to the bar.
I couldn’t really remember how it happened, but within the hour, I
had downed 4 glasses of Vodka and cranberry thanks to Greg’s.
persistence.

“So much for just one drink, huh, boss” Jeremy laughed.
“Hey, I was thirst!” I laughed. I felt a little tipsy.
“Where’s the bathroom?” I whispered into Lilly’s ear. I had a small
bladder. The music had been turned up, and it was a little loud.
She pointed to the back, and I nodded. After handing Lilly my
handbag, I headed towards the direction she pointed me in. As I
walked, my legs got wobbly, but I tried to keep my balance and fight
the dizziness. I was a lightweight, but never this bad. It was just four
glasses.

There was a cue outside the toilets and I was starting to feel hot and
clammy. I walked further towards the back and found an emergency
door. Without hesitation, I pushed it open and stepped out into the
cold air. I hadn’t realized how hot it was inside. In my heist to get out,
I had stepped into a back alley. There was a black van parked at the
end of the alley. The door shut behind me, and I leaned against a wall
fanning myself as waves of nauseous and dizzy took over me. My body
was heating up, and my vision got blurry. My hot body was making it
hard for me to breathe. My head was starting to get heavy as well. I
felt my body sway, and I quickly put my hand out to hold the wall.
“Rosy, you okay?” Came a voice.
I looked up to see a blurry figure approaching me.
“Yeah, I’m okay,” I replied, trying to make out who it was.
The person got closer, and I could finally see his face. It was Greg.
He put his arm around my waist and helped me stand up.
“Did you drink too much?” He asked casually.
“It was only four glasses. I’m not this bad with alcohol. The
bartender must have mixed too much vodka into the juice,” I
complained, holding my head and clinging to Greg for support. Greg
was starting to walk slowly.

“Yeah, it wasn’t the bartender that mixed too much,” he chuckled.
“Wha-…. what?” I slurred. The darkness was starting to take over.
“I spiked your drink. I have these little white pills that I crushed you and mixed into those pretty pink drinks of yours. I hope you don’t
mind” Greg laughed and pulled out a little pill container from his
pocket. He twirled it around between his fingers.
I looked up to see we were standing right behind the trunk of the
black van.
“What are you doing??” I tried to push him away, but my body was
going numb. I could feel my body was shutting off.
