Chapter 242
Adrian Kael
“Unfortunately, or perhaps fortunately, I can’t live without you
anymore.”
His gaze is firm, but there is tenderness there.
“It’s good to wake up beside someone, to be cared for. Sometimes, I
think all of this is wrong, that I shouldn’t have accepted you… but I
did. And I like taking care of you.”
He laughs low, the sound hoarse and sincere.
“It’s strange, but comforting, to take care of someone we like. So, you
don’t need to worry about me.”
He leans in and kisses the tip of my nose.
“And to prove I’m being sincere… if I try to run away, you have my
permission to break my legs.”
My eyes shine at the promise. A wide smile spreads across my face.

“That makes me feel a lot better.”
I kiss his chin with tenderness and deep satisfaction.
“Thank you, my love.”
He strokes my cheek with his thumb, and I close my eyes for a
moment, nuzzling my face against the palm of his hand, savoring that
simple gesture.
“And yes…” His voice remains calm.
I stare at him, not understanding immediately.
“I want to get out of here with you. To live with you. But you better
keep on loving me, Adrian Kael.”
A wide smile takes over my face. I pull him into a slow, serene kiss
where our mouths move in perfect harmony, as if it were the first
time. My heart races, a pleasant nervousness fills my stomach, and
the entire world seems to stop around us.
He slides his hands to my waist, squeezing lightly, then moves up to
the nape of my neck, taking control of the kiss. I simply give back,
surrendering completely, letting his rhythm guide me. I wrap myself
around his body, keeping us pressed together until we are out of

breath.
When our lungs force us apart, I place a kiss on his throat.
“I love you, Magnus.”
He smiles sideways and kisses my forehead.
“I know.”
We stay embraced for a few seconds, the silence filled only by the soft
sound of his breathing. Gradually, I pull away, still reluctant.
“I’m going to call my father and ask him to come get us.”
He gives my cheek a gentle stroke, his gaze peaceful.
“Right. I’ll take the tray back to the kitchen. Meet me near the
courtyard.”
I nod, excited, and before leaving, I steal one more kiss from his lips.
Then, I run down the corridor with a light heart, the sound of his
laughter echoing behind me.
My smile widens, and my chest feels ready to explode.

I can’t wait to leave this place with the man I love.
I walk at a fast pace through the corridors until I reach the warden’s
office. As soon as I reach the door, I turn the handle and enter
without bothering to knock. He is startled immediately, jumping and
falling off his chair, scattering papers across the floor.
I cross my arms and stare at him coldly.
“Call my father.”
He stands up in a hurry, his face pale, and picks up his phone with
trembling hands. Dialing the number, he waits a few seconds until the
call is answered, then extends the device to me without saying a
word.
I take the phone, leaning casually against the desk.
“Father.”
“Adrian, my son,” his voice sounds relieved. ‘What happened?”
“You can get me out of here now,” I say calmly. “And I want you to
bring your beautiful son–in–law along.”
The line goes silent for a few seconds, and then I hear a muffled

laugh followed by a long sigh.
“Finally, my son… Finally you’re leaving that hell. I’ll settle this
today. Since it’s a big move, it might take up to a week.”
“No problem. The important thing is getting us out of here,” I speak
firmly, looking at the warden, who pretends to be busy picking up
papers from the floor.
“Of course, son. I’ll do everything to free you both as fast as I can. Do
you need anything else?”
“Yes.” A smile appears on my lips. “A house. As soon as I get out of
here, my god and I are going to live in it. I want something big, far
from the city, with no neighbors around.”
“Understood. I’ll see to it,” he replies without hesitation. “I’ll buy the
house and some cars too. Do you want cameras installed?”
I give a low chuckle.
“Of course. Even when I’m not around, I want to be able to watch my
love.”
“Understood.” He pauses for a moment, and his voice shifts to a softer
tone. “Anything else, son?”

“Yes. Prepare a wedding. As soon as we get out, we’re going straight
to get married.”
On the other end of the line, I hear a heavy sigh.
