Chapter 253
Adrian Kael
“Wait.” He pulls back and reaches for his toothbrush.
I roll my eyes, laughing.
“You know I don’t care about that, love. I could kiss you even if you
went a hundred years without brushing your teeth.”
He shoots me a stern look, but the corner of his mouth betrays a
smile.
“Don’t ruin the mood, Adrian. Be quiet.”
I shut my mouth and watch him as he brushes his teeth.
As soon as he finishes, I don’t wait a single second. I lunge forward,
cupping his face between my hands, and kiss him with all the longing
accumulated over these four days without feeling him.
Magnus reacts instantly; one of his hands slides to the back of my
neck, the other firmly grips my waist, pulling me against his body. The kiss is urgent, full of need, as if we were trying to reclaim every

lost second.
The flavor of his mouth invades me–warm, clean, with a soft hint of
mint mixed with the unmistakable taste of his skin. Our tongues meet
and begin to fight for space, entangling and teasing, each movement
deeper than the last.
The wet, muffled sound fills the air, and the heat between us rises
every second.
But, gradually, the kiss changes. Hunger gives way to tenderness, and
the pace slows down. We stay with our mouths joined, simply savoring the contact, breathing into each other, letting the moment
speak for us.
Now, our tongues only brush–slow, lazy–and the touch becomes more intimate, sweeter. I kiss his mouth like someone quenching an ancient thirst, like someone reconnecting with something sacred.
When we finally pull apart, we are breathless, our foreheads resting
against each other.
I run my hand along his cheek, feeling the heat of his skin under my
fingers, and before I can contain myself, I kiss him again.
I need more.

I need to satiate myself with him.
I missed this contact so much that it actually hurts.
He grabs me tightly, possessively, and a groan escapes against my
lips. I take control, dominating his mouth, licking his lips before
sucking on them with hunger until they are red and swollen.
Then, I invade with my tongue again in a hot, intense clash, our
breaths mingling, our mouths devouring each other.
When saliva trickles down his chin, I pull away just enough to lick the
warm liquid, savoring it, before sucking it in and returning to kiss
him with even more necessity. I pull back once more, my breathing
erratic, and stick my tongue out, letting him stare at me.
His gaze is pure fire, lust, desire, and madness. I feel every muscle in
my body react, shivering under that look I’ve dreamed of so many
times.
He leans in, licks my tongue, and sucks on it hard, drawing another
groan from me. We go back to kissing–awet, deep kiss–until the air
becomes scarce and our breathing forces us to stop.
I rest my forehead against his chest, listening to the accelerated beat
of the heart I love so much.

“I love you, Magnus.” My hoarse voice carries all the contained
emotion. “I’m so happy you accepted me… for accepting the sacred
love I feel for you… for accepting me exactly as I am. I love you, I love
you, I love you…” I repeat without being able to stop, like a prayer.
He laughs softly, the gentle sound vibrating against my skin.
“I know, love,” he answers, kissing my hair affectionately. “And I like
you.”
He squeezes me in his arms, and in that instant, the entire world
seems to fit right there, between the sound of his breath and the
warmth that envelops me.
He kisses my hair once more before pulling back, his voice soft but
decisive.
“Let’s put our uniforms on and eat. I want to go to the cafeteria
today… I can move properly now.”
I smile and kiss his beard, feeling the pleasant scratch against my
lips.
“Of course, my love.”
I grab the towels and start drying his body with the same care as

always, moving the cloth slowly over every part of him as if he were
made of glass. Afterward, I grab my own towel and dry myself off in a
rush, which makes him laugh.
“Funny,” he comments, amused. “With me, you’re so delicate, so full
of care… but when it’s you, it looks like you’re trying to put out a
fire.”
I let out a short laugh.
“Of course it’s different with you, love,” I reply, leaning in to leave a
quick kiss on his chin. “I like taking care of you–giving you baths,
dressing you, feeding you… it’s my pleasure. I don’t care what I do
with myself; my focus is you.”
He moves closer, touches my face, and gives me a soft peck.
“That’s why my job is also to take care of you. While you look after
me, I look after you. And it will be like that forever.”
I melt under his gaze–that mixture of strength and tenderness that
only he possesses.
“Yes, my love. Anything you want.”
I pick up his uniform and kneel before him, which makes him laugh

quietly and sigh. He rests his hands on my shoulders for balance
while I help him put on each piece. When I finish, he observes me in
silence, and for a moment, I feel like I could live kneeling like this
forever, just serving him.
Then, I put on my own uniform and hold out my hand.
“Ready, love?”
He smiles and intertwines our fingers.
“Ready.”
We leave the cell, walking side by side down the corridor. Some
guards look away and bow their heads as we pass, and I feel the power
of it vibrating in the air. Magnus wraps his arm around my waist,
pulling me closer.
My body reacts instantly; I go soft and light, as if I’ve turned to jelly
in the face of that silent possession.
When we reach the cafeteria, we head straight for our usual spot. I
ignore the curious stares of the inmates, used to the attention. As
soon as I sit down, Magnus pulls my chair closer to him.
I stare at him, half–melted, half–indignant.

“Love… stop with these provocations. You know that seeing you like
this, so possessive, only drives me crazier.”
He laughs, low and provocative.
“I don’t know what you’re talking about, love.”
I pout, faking irritation.
“Mean.”
He leans in and kisses me in front of everyone, not caring about the
stares.
“You’re worse,” he whispers against my lips.
I give a lopsided smile, feeling my heart accelerate.
Soon, TJ approaches with two trays and sets them before us, nodding
in greeting. I simply ignore him, preferring to keep watching Magnus,
who flashes me a small smirk.
“You like to provoke too,” he comments, amused.
I give a light smile, and we begin to eat in silence. He rests his hand
on my thigh–a natural gesture, as if it were the most common thing

in the world. I place my hand over his, and he grips my fingers firmly.
