Chapter 1174
Roger sounded cheerful on the phone. “Hey, Ivy. What are you up to right now?”
“I’m trying on a dress,” Ivy replied. “It’s for your birthday party tomorrow. Since you called, I’ll say it now. Happy early birthday, Grandpa. Wishing you many more healthy years ahead.”
Roger burst into laughter. “I appreciate the thought. You and Nathan had better show up on time tomorrow.”
Ivy didn’t mention that Nathan had already left on a business trip. “Don’t worry. We’ll be there on time.”
“Good. And make sure you take care of yourself. The child you’re carrying is part of the Lowe family. That baby is very important.”
“I know. I’ll see you tomorrow.”
Ivy hung up the call and gently placed a hand over her flat stomach. Tomorrow, the baby would go onto the battlefield with her.
Noelle and Kate had always been like a pair of tumors she could never quite cut out. She had tolerated them for years.
But now, it was time to face them head–on.
Those two would definitely make a move tomorrow. Who would win and who would lose would be decided soon enough.
While Ivy was on the phone, Madge stood nearby scrolling through her phone. She posted Ivy s photo in the dress to her social feed and casually added a caption.
[My boss looks like a movie star even in a quick snapshot! I swear, if there’s a next life, I hope I’m born looking like this!]
Just then, the sales associate walked over. “Ms. Quinn, does the dress need any adjustments?”
Ivy shook her head. “No, it’s perfect.”
“Wonderful. If you’d like to change out of it, I’ll have it packaged for you. We’ll arrange delivery to your home shortly.”
“Alright.”
Ivy followed the associate back into the fitting room to change.
Nathan, meanwhile, wasn’t at the office.
He was already on a private jet heading overseas. The international project he was handling had turned complicated, and he needed to deal with it as soon as possible.
When the plane landed at a foreign airport, Nathan stepped off with Baxter.

Baxter turned his phone back on, and within seconds, he saw Madge’s social media post. He glanced at Nathan. “Mr. Lowe, there’s a new photo of Mrs. Lowe.”
Nathan looked over. “What photo?”
Baxter handed him the phone. “This one.”
Nathan paused. His eyes caught the image before anything else registered.
Ivy stood there in the gown.
She had always been the kind of beauty people noticed immediately, calm, cool, and almost distant. The ivory dress only made her look even more radiant, like she didn’t quite belong in the ordinary world.
Even Nathan, who had grown up surrounded by beautiful women, felt a flicker of surprise as admiration flashed through his eyes.
He took out his own phone.
His screen was empty. Ivy hadn’t texted him. He also couldn’t see the photo of Ivy on her page.
Nathan looked back at Baxter. “How do you have that picture?”
Baxter explained, “I added Madge, Mrs. Lowe’s assistant, on social media a while back. This is from her post.”
“I see.”
Baxter glanced at the photo again. “Why is Mrs. Lowe dressed like that? Is she going to some kind of event?”
Nathan didn’t know. Ivy hadn’t mentioned anything to him.
Nathan raised an eyebrow slightly. “Send someone to look into it. I want to know her schedule for the next few days.”
“I’m on it.”
Baxter nodded.
Still, he couldn’t help thinking the same thing Nathan was. Where exactly was Ivy going, dressed that
beautifully?
