Chapter 91
Chapter 91
Fear seeped through the scene.
Σ
Linda chuckled softly. “What are you so afraid of? Isn’t there still another ace in the house?”
Her whisper was like a demon whispering in the dark.
For Travis, that voice was pure terror. He wanted to bolt, but his body wouldn’t obey. His hands and feet felt like they belonged to someone else.
Travis, gripped by fear and anxiety, tried to open his mouth to warn the two cultivators, but not a single word came out.
Their eyes lit up. “Linda, you’re so cool!”

The two late–stage Gilded Phase cultivators exchanged glances. “There are two of us and only one of her. What’s there to be afraid of? Let’s take her down!”
The Golden Spell shone with increasing brilliance.
Their defenses had reached a whole new level.
One of them lunged straight at Linda.
The other abandoned close combat for a ranged assault, summoning his artifact as mana surged around him.
It was a spirit crossbow.
With mana pouring in, a spirit arrow shot out with a sudden burst.
It was aimed straight at Linda.
One charged in, the other attacked from range.
Their teamwork was seamless.
But before the punch could land on Linda, Laura darted in, her sword catching the blow. The force was overwhelming. though, and she was sent flying by the late–stage Gilded Phase cultivator’s fist
The Giantforce Sword was knocked right out of her hand.
Laura now stood empty–handed.
Watching Laura charge in, Del Cantrell snorted, “You’ve got a death wish!”
He saw his chance. Laura had lost her Ethereal Blade, so he instantly shifted his attack from Linda to her. But Laura didn’t even flinch, cool as ever despite being weaponless.
As Del swung his fist at her, Laura stayed cool and simply raised her own fist to block.
The contrast between them was sharp and intense.
Del was covered in the Golden Spell, which not only boosted his defense but also amped up his attacks by at least thirty
percent.
His fist looked massive and powerful.
Laura’s fighting style, on the other hand, was straightforward and basic.

Her fist looked small and weak, just like any ordinary girl’s, just a tiny hand wrapped around a fist, with no hint of power.
Not only did Del ignore her, even Rex, watching from the shadows, didn’t give her a second thought.
But that fist was quite deceptive.
When their fists slammed together, the look on Del’s face started to shift.
The Golden Spell, said to be unbreakable and able to withstand any attack, even a full–force blow from anyone below Astral Sovereign Form, began to falter after Laura’s punch landed.
A hairline crack appeared.
The sound was barely a whisper.
Everyone in the room was a Gilded Phase cultivator. Except Travis, every single one of them caught it.
At first, there was just a single crack, but soon a rapid succession of fine cracking sounds came.
The cracks grew more and more frequent, filling the air.
Del stared at Laura in disbelief. She had tossed aside her Ethereal Blade, as if she’d finally broken free from invisible chains. Her fists came down in a wild barrage, and he was completely helpless to stop her.
He raised his arms to defend himself.
But under Laura’s relentless assault, his defense crumbled instantly.
Everyone heard the cracks loud and clear.
The Golden Spell shattered completely.
Golden shards scattered across the floor, sparkling like broken crystal.
Just like that, Del’s confidence was smashed to pieces.
And on the other side, Halbert Cantrell was using his artifact to attack Linda.
Their faces twisted in disbelief for a split second.
Laura pulled her fist back and slammed it forward again, her face deadly serious and a little pissed. “Hands off Linda!”
With his Golden Spell shattered, Del’s defenses were slashed by half. He was even weaker than before. He had no choice but to take Laura’s punch full force.
He shot through the air like a cannonball, smashing straight into the heart of the village.
The ground trembled violently, and the entire village caved in from the impact, sending a massive cloud of dust billowing skyward.
When the dust finally settled, a massive crater was left in the middle of the village.
Del shot up from the pit, but he was barely holding on, he opened his mouth and spat out a mouthful of blood.
“You are a body cultivator,” he gasped.
But that didn’t make sense. No body cultivator her age should be this strong.
Something was seriously off.

Rex’s s eyes lit up, almost trembling with excitement. “To shatter the Golden Spell with just one punch, this girl’s body…”
A name popped into both Del and Rex’s minds at the same time. “Innate Spiritbone!”
Halbert gaped. “Innate Spiritbone? That’s the legendary physique, closest to being immortal! Are we really seeing it for real?”
Laura just deadpanned, “No clue. I only care about eating ribs.”
Del swallowed a pill and lunged at Laura with renewed force.
“Get her!” he shouted.
Even Rex was bearing down on Laura now.
But just as Del was about to go for Laura, another figure suddenly flashed in front of her and smashed a fist forward!
Del’d barely gotten his Golden Spell up before it shattered all over again.
Everyone looked like they’d seen a ghost.
“Another one?” Del crashed back into the crater, spitting out blood.
Claudio looked totally unfazed. “You are weak. Don’t give me that Innate Spiritbone crap.”
Rafael shouted, “Preach, Claudio!”
Then Rafael shot them a look of pure contempt. “Innate Spiritbone? Please, you guys are just starving for excuses.
“You can’t beat us, so you blame it on talent. Sure, we’re more gifted than you, but don’t go spouting nonsense!”
Craig let out a cold laugh. “If you old–timers want to bully us, just say it. Quit with all these fancy tricks, you old fossils.”
Rafael flipped them off. “Go home and play with your grandkids.”
Del and Rex were completely baffled.
Laura was already unbelievable, but now with Claudio in the mix, things just didn’t add up.
After all, Innate Spiritbone was so rare that there was no way two of them would show up at once.
There was only one explanation. This organization must have some kind of secret body cultivation technique.
Rex snapped, “Just capture her first!”
Del focused on absorbing the pill’s power, waiting for the right moment to restrain Laura.
But then, from the other side, that all–too–familiar cracking sound rang out again.
They whipped around and saw the Golden Spell on Halbert shatter into pieces under Linda’s punch.
“A third one?” Their faces twisted in disbelief.
But in the next instant, Del and Rex’s eyes went wide as Linda turned and shot them a wicked, low laugh.
“You want the Innate Spiritbone?” After that low, mocking laugh, Linda drove her fist right through Halbert’s belly, right before their eyes.
Del shouted, “No. Stop right now!”

Chapter 91
He let his late–stage Gilded Phase power explode, ignoring Claudio and Laura as he made a beeline for Linda But he was a step too late.
Halbert, who was supposed to be on par with Del, now looked like just a rookie in the Mana–Stoking Phase standing before Linda.
There was not even a hint of fight left in him.
Linda clamped her hand around his throat like he was nothing but a baby chick.
Then, she twisted his neck with a sickening crack, dropping him like dead weight.
Del was rooted to the spot, stunned beyond words.
Rex was utterly thrown off, his face a mask of shock.
Linda stood there, her hand still clamped around the corpse, cold and unmoving.
Travis finally found his voice, screaming in terror, “She’s a devil!”
As an early Gilded Phase cultivator, she had just killed a late–stage Gilded Phase cultivator.
