Chapter 92
Chapter 92
It was effortless.

Linda took out someone at the late Gilded Core stage like it was nothing
That was how Travis saw Linda.
While Del and Rex were distracted by Laura and Claudio, Travis watched as Linda silently stepped through the formation, closing in on Halbert.
She didn’t use any artifacts, not even her sword.
She just walked right up to Halbert, obliterated his belly, snapped his neck, and crushed his soul.
She didn’t leave a shred of life behind.
Travis dropped to the ground, too scared to even cry.
Del watched his brother die right in front of him, his eyes blazing with hatred, his mana surging wildly. “I’m going to kill you. You’ll pay for this!”
Linda tossed the body aside and strode straight toward him.
“Come,” Linda said, her voice icy.
Laura was about to step forward, but Claudio quietly reminded her, “Laura, there’s another one.”
Laura swept her gaze across the village.
Her soul search came up empty.
But it was clear, someone was still hiding out in the village.
His aura had already slipped out earlier.
Laura was about to rush in, but Claudio stopped her. “Hold on. He can’t sit tight much longer.”
Meanwhile, Del was already locked in combat with Linda.
Del went toe–to–toe with her, fists flying, but Linda didn’t even flinch. Anyone who actually faced her would realize her raw power was freakish, way beyond what they’d expect from a girl her age.
She was a body cultivator.
Del’s eyes burned with hatred. “First Unity Coven really lives up to its reputation.”
Linda smirked. “Yes.”
“So what if you’re from First Unity Coven? You’re still going to pay for my brother’s death!” Del roared,
Linda replied softly, “I told you, come at me.”
Her words were light as a feather, but they struck a nerve in Del.
Del’s punches grew even more savage.
Linda started to fall back, looking like she was losing ground, but if one paid close attention, they’d catch a shimmer of light

with every step she took, mana trailing from her feet and pooling on the earth.
Without anyone noticing, she was weaving a formation right under their noses.
Rex watched everything happening, his face darkening as the situation changed.
He’d brought ten people with him, and now only Del was still standing. If he kept just watching from the sidelines, they were all going to get wiped out this time.
Del yelled, “Rex, how long are you planning to just stand there?
“There are only five of them, and it’s just two girls giving us a hard time. Are you gonna wait until we’re all dead before you finally step in?”
Linda didn’t stop him from shouting for help.
Her voice was barely above a whisper. “Iron Fist Rex Alexander, third elder of the Pathfinding Coven.”
Del’s eyes burned with hatred. “Yeah, you can take out Gilded Core cultivators, but what about someone at the Astral Sovereign Form?
“I’ll trade my life just to leave you crippled. Do you really think you’ll survive till sunrise?”
Linda let out a low, chilling laugh. “I’m not dying anytime soon. I’ll live long enough to watch your whole Pathfinding Coven get wiped off the map.”
Her voice was soft as a whisper.
Del was about to blow himself up, pouring all his mana into it. As soon as Linda murmured, it was like something just strangled his mana, and the explosion stalled.
He looked at Linda, terrified and unsure.
“What did you do?” Del whispered, his voice shaking.
Linda replied softly, “You know I’m an inscribed magic user, right?”
Del was at a loss for words, because she really was one.
They’d seen her use inscribed magic from the start, but then she pulled out dream illusions, fog tricks, and even body cultivator moves. At this point, he had no clue what Linda’s real specialty was.
Maybe she was just good at everything.
Linda didn’t need his answer. She talked as if to herself, “When I was at my lowest, when I had no idea how to keep going. I realized something,
“The strongest vessel for an inscribed magic user’s power isn’t vellum of inscription, or mana floating in the void, or even Luster Shards. It’s people.”
Her voice was a devil’s whisper.
Del’s eyes shrank in terror.
Linda pressed her fingertip to Del’s forehead. “I wasn’t weaving a formation. I was inscribing a talisman.”
As Linda’s whisper faded, a huge talisman lit up the earth in a burst of gold. Rex finally sprang into action, yelling, “Run!”

Del was frozen in place.
Linda had just drawn the last stroke, sealing their fate

As a spark of talismanic light fell, Del was pinned to the spot. In his final moment, he watched at Rex turned into a streak of light and shot off into the sky like a comet, not even looking back.
He ran, Del thought.
Del’s eyes darted around, desperate to catch a glimpse of his brother’s figure, but it was already too late.
Linda said softly, “Don’t worry, I’ll make sure you two are buried together?
With that, she turned and walked away,
At the heart of the talisman, Del was locked in place as the rune lit up the whole place. In an instant, he blew apart from the inside out with a thunderous boom.
Then a thick mist swept in and wrapped up the shockwave, blood, and flesh, dumping it all in a pile on the ground.
Linda added softly, “Just a little smashed up
Travis had already passed out cold.
Rex didn’t hesitate for a second. He turned and bolted. When he glanced back and saw what Linda had just done, he ran even faster, not daring to look back again.
It wasn’t that he thought Linda could beat him. As someone at the Astral Sovereign Form stage, he could easily overpower her. But now just wasn’t the time to pick a fight.
This girl is freaky as hell, Rex thought, his heart pounding.
Linda looked up, her eyes locking with Rez’s across the sky.
She stood there with her arms folded, not making any moves yet.
It seemed like she was just letting him walk away.
Rez looked surprised, floating midair as he gave Linda a puzzled look. “You’re not coming after me?”
Linda laughed. “Iron Fist Rex from the Pathfinding Coven, I already know who you are. Why would I bother chasing you? Wasn’t planning to fight you anyway.”
Linda sighed softly, raising her hand to show her bleeding palm. “After fighting two late Gilded Core guys, I’m totally wiped out. There’s no way I’ve got the energy to take on someone at Astral Sovereign Form right now.”
Rex’s old face twisted with complicated emotions. “You’re pretty upfront, but do you realize you’re playing right into my hands by saying all that?”
Rex gave Laura and Claudio a hungry look. “And you’re putting your friends at risk, too.”
‘Couldn’t ask for a better chance, Rex thought.
Linda chuckled softly. “I know, but I just had to say it, didn’t I?”
As Rex’s heart pounded, Linda’s voice floated over, light as a feather. “Otherwise, how else am I supposed to buy some time and set up an opening for Byron?”

But that brief moment was all Linda needed to set her formation.
“Come down!” Linda called out.
A talisman slammed down from above.
It struck Rex squarely.
As Rex tried to dodge, a snow–white Ethereal Blade came hurtling down, the crushing force of Astral Sovereign Form bearing down on him. Rex’s expression twisted in shock.
Byron stood atop the blade, his face cold and grim.
Rex bolted in the opposite direction.
But an even stronger aura swept in. “Are you the one targeting our students?”
Laurence appeared in midair, shouldering a hoe and staring Rex down.
Seeing the two of them show up, Linda called out, “Laurence, Byron, don’t let him get away.”
Laurence grinned. “Relax. We’ll drag him back and use him as fertilizer.”
Linda finally breathed out, the heavy burden on her shoulders gone. Laura and Claudio rushed over, but Claudio was quicker. He caught Linda just as she collapsed.
Laura looked down at her hands, a little awkward. She hadn’t even managed to catch her.
‘How is Claudio always so fast?‘ Laura wondered.
“Linda!” Laura cried.
