Tracy was stunned. She hadn’t expected Sean to help her so much simply because of one life- saving favor owed to her uncle.

A promise from the Johnson heir was not something just anyone could obtain. Of course she had to seize such an opportunity.

With a rush of excitement, Tracy pulled out her phone, and the two exchanged WhatsApp

contacts.

Sean glanced at his watch. “I have some business to attend to. I’ll take my leave.”

He rose and walked out, leaving Tracy to follow shortly after.

On the way home, Tracy stopped for a quick bowl of noodles. By the time she stepped through the door, it was already past seven.

Jennie greeted her immediately with slippers in hand. “Ms. Tracy, Mr. Chandler came home. He’s upstairs waiting to have dinner with you.”

Tracy paused mid-step, then said lightly, “I already ate outside. You all go ahead.”

Jennie’s eyes widened in surprise.

On weekends, Tracy had always cooked herself and waited at home, hoping Chandler might join her. Even though he rarely did, she had clung to the habit for years.

But tonight she hadn’t cooked, hadn’t waited. She’d eaten elsewhere. For Jennie, the sudden change was jarring-clear proof that something had shifted.

At that moment, Chandler descended the stairs in gray loungewear.

Tracy ignored him, slipped on her slippers, and went straight to pour herself water. After an afternoon of shopping, her throat was parched.

Chandler frowned at her indifference, but quickly smoothed it away and headed into the dining room. Jennie served the dishes swiftly, setting out two plates.

Tracy didn’t so much as glance over. Instead, she went to the living room, tore off the third page of her calendar, crumpled it, and tossed it in the trash.

Another day gone. One step closer to freedom.

Without a word, she headed upstairs. Every glimpse of Chandler now only conjured Yvonne’s taunts-and the image of their bodies entangled. The thought alone turned her stomach.

Chandler watched her retreating back. Jennie, flustered, tried to smooth things over. “Sir, Ms. Tracy went out with a friend today. She already ate before coming back. She probably hasn’t gone out like that in a long time, so she’s tired. Please don’t mind it.”

“Mm.” Chandler gave only a faint response and bent over his meal.

Tracy washed up and went to bed early, too drained to even move.

Later, when Chandler came upstairs, he found the bedroom light off. Without disturbing her, he grabbed his car keys and left again.

He had intended to come back and share dinner with her. But she’d already eaten, already gone to sleep.

Two days of silent treatment. Chandler wasn’t about to indulge it further.

Irritated, he drove aimlessly, pulling into a secluded spot when the urge to smoke hit. Rolling down the window, he lit a cigarette.

Through the haze, a figure appeared. Yvonne-dressed in a flimsy, translucent dress. The cut at her chest gaped low, revealing glimpses of pale flesh. The fabric hugged her tiny waist, her curves on blatant display.

Just one look, and Chandler’s body stiffened. His expression darkened. “Who told you to dress like that?”

Yvonne’s lips curved in a sultry smile. “You don’t like it?”

Chandle

Her eyes shimmered, her voice dripping with tease, Chandler’s control cracked.

He flung open the car door, dragged her inside, and pressed her against the back seat.

Yvonne pushed at him playfully. “Why so rushed? Let’s play a game.”

“Not interested.” His voice was rough, full of hunger. He wanted her now, here.

“Don’t be hasty. I prepared something special. You’ll love it.”

Twice denied, his mood soured. He pulled back, straightened his clothes, regaining that cool, composed mask.

Yvonne slid closer, whispering against his ear, “Upset?”

She smiled, reached behind herself, and tugged down her zipper. Slowly, deliberately, she peeled off the flimsy dress, letting it fall.

Holding it up, she waved it in front of him before tossing it onto his lap. Then she slipped into a lacy maid costume she had stashed in her bag.

Once dressed, she straddled him, fingers caressing his throat, eyes smoldering. “Game on. Ready for my challenge?”

Watching her boldness, Chandler’s calm crumbled. Desire surged back through him.

He seized her thighs, flipped her beneath him, and tore the costume apart with one savage rip.

“Why bother with this? Wouldn’t it be easier not to wear anything at all?”

Yvonne giggled, pounding his chest lightly with her fist. “You’re so bad.”

The next morning, Tracy slept until nearly half past ten. She groggily reached for her phone when a call came in.

It was the real estate agent again.

“Ms. Xander,” the cheerful voice chimed, “are you coming to view the apartment today? We’ve found one for you at a very reasonable price. I think you’ll be satisfied.”
