Chapter 61 Let Go of the Past Baggage and Embrace a New Life
Waylon looked at Tracy, somewhat confused. “Why do you want to keep it confidential?”
When others achieve success, they usually want the whole world to know, but Tracy was actually avoiding attention, which he couldn’t quite grasp.
Tracy said with some difficulty, “It’s due to some personal reasons that are inconvenient to discuss, but I hope Mr. Waylon can help me keep my identity a secret.”
If Chandler and the Xander family knew she was Z, it would undoubtedly lead to another storm. To avoid unnecessary trouble, it was better for her to keep her identity hidden. She didn’t want those idiots to disrupt her current work.
Waylon lowered his head, thought for a moment, and then asked, “I can do that. How long do you wish to keep it confidential?”
Tracy shook her head. “I don’t know how long. Let’s just keep it confidential for now.”
Waylon nodded in understanding, then extended his hand warmly, smiling as he said, “I look forward to the publication of your new project’s thesis. Our cooperation is a pleasure.”
“The pleasure is mine.” Tracy also extended her hand and shook hands with Waylon.
They chatted about professional issues for a while longer, and then Waylon and Morten left together.
Sam offered to drive Tracy home, but Tracy shook her head, refusing. “I drove myself here. I can go back on my own.”
Sam also left.
Only Sean and Tracy remained.
Tracy forced herself to say to Sean, “Sean, I still have to move, so I’ll be leaving now.”
Having said this, Tracy turned and walked away. She was afraid that if she hesitated for a second, Sean would make things difficult for her again.
“Wait.” Sean’s eyes narrowed, and he called out to her. “I’ll take
you back.”
Tracy took out her car keys and jingled them in front of Sean. “I drove my car.”
She remembered saying the exact same thing in front of Sam earlier. She didn’t believe Sean hadn’t heard it. She didn’t understand why Sean would still say that, nor did she want to guess

Sean walked up to her and reminded her, “You’re divorced now. Are you sure you still want to drive your ex-husband’s car?”
Hearing this, Tracy choked. How could I forget that the car I’m driving was a gift from Chandler? Since they were divorced, she could no longer drive this car.
She looked at Sean and said, “Then I’ll have to trouble you to drive me, Sean.”
Sean looked a little helpless at Tracy’s formality “Let’s go.”
Tracy drove her car back home, went upstairs to retrieve her luggage, and brought it back down. She placed the wedding ring and car keys in the bedroom drawer. She didn’t know if Chandler would ever see them. But it no longer mattered.
Jennie heard the commotion and came out. Seeing Tracy bringing her luggage downstairs, she quickly stepped forward to help. She asked, somewhat puzzled, “It’s so late. Where are you dragging your luggage off to?”
Tracy hugged Jennie, her eyes stinging with a hint of sorrow. “Jennie, thank you for taking care of me all these years. I’m going on a trip, and I’m not sure when I’ll be back. While I’m away, please throw out all the things I’ve used. I’ll buy new ones when I return.”
Tracy didn’t say her goodbyes. She didn’t want Chandler to find out about her situation too quickly. I’ll wait until I have the divorce certificate before saying anything else.I wonder when Hailey can get the divorce certificate sorted out. I can’t wait to get that document.
Jennie didn’t suspect anything. She patted Tracy’s back and smiled. “You’re catching a flight so late. Remember to have a good time.” As long as Tracy was happy, the atmosphere in the house would be lively. Otherwise, it would always be lifeless, which inexplicably made her uneasy. But looking at Tracy’s departing back, she had a bad feeling that she might not come back after leaving.
Tracy pulled her luggage outside. When she reached the gate of the courtyard, she looked back at the house she had lived in for three years. Everything here was designed by her hands. Every blade of grass and tree was planted by her, and every corner held items she had carefully placed. But now, she was leaving forever. I feel a little heavy-hearted.
She composed herself and walked quickly away from the place she had lived for three years. There was nothing to miss. She had to look forward. She was starting a new life, which meant she had to let go of the past baggage and embrace a new chapter.
Everything was moving in a good direction. That’s good!
Sean saw her come out and helped her put her luggage into the trunk of his car. Then he courteously opened the car door for her. Seeing her apparent low spirits, he frowned subtly.

“Your ex-husband is showing off his affection with his mistress right in front of you. What is there left to miss?”
Tracy got into the car, pursing her lips without speaking. The truth was certainly harsh. But it no longer concerned her. She wasn’t missing Chandler; she was thinking about the problems her teacher had analyzed for her just now. However, she didn’t explain, as she felt it wasn’t necessary. After all, they weren’t very close; why bother explaining so much?
Closing the car door, Sean sat in the driver’s seat but kept staring at Tracy, showing no intention of starting the car. The air pressure in the car dropped suddenly, making it a little hard for Tracy to breathe. Tracy felt somewhat awkward under his gaze. She couldn’t help but look up to meet his eyes and asked, confused, “What is it?”
Why was he staring at her instead of driving? Can the car drive itself if he keeps staring at me?
Sean’s tall body suddenly leaned toward Tracy. She felt her heart leap into her throat. Tracy instinctively pushed him away with her hand. “What are you doing?”
Please don’t get any ideas. As he came closer, she could clearly hear his strong, powerful heartbeat. His warm breath fanned her pale neck, which felt a little ticklish. This position was far too… intimate! Her mind went blank. She stared wide-eyed at Sean’s handsome face as he moved closer.
Just as she was about to speak again, Sean simply reached for the seatbelt next to her. With a soft click, he fastened her seatbelt.
Tracy: “…”
It was just the seatbelt. She had thought he was suddenly leaning over to do something to her. It turned out I was overthinking it!
Sean’s narrow eyes looked down at her, and his thin lips parted slightly. “What did you think I wanted to do?”
Tracy quickly shook her head and waved her hands, saying awkwardly, “Nothing, nothing at all. It’s late. I have to work tomorrow, so let’s hurry back and get some rest!” Thinking about how she had just misunderstood him, she felt utterly mortified. She had been driving for so long, and she actually forgot to fasten her seatbelt. This is so embarrassing!
She just wanted to get to her new place quickly, get a good night’s sleep, and get back to work
tomorrow.
The car stopped downstairs at the apartment complex. Tracy couldn’t wait to open the door and get out. Without waiting for Sean to get out she quickly pulled her luggage and made her way to the elevator.
Sean got out of the car and saw the figure rushing to escape. His eyes narrowed. Am I that
