Chapter 63 So Emotional, Are You Trying to Hide Something?
Though Tracy felt a bit confused, she stood up and went to the CEO’s office to deliver the file.
She had heard plenty of the company gossip, but she had no intention of engaging with it. People who look at others through a prejudiced lens will only believe what they see; they will never believe the person involved’s explanation. Based on her experience, trying to explain this situation would only make it worse, and they would likely think she was guilty and afraid to admit the truth. Therefore, she wouldn’t explain and would let the matter run its course. The eventual slap in the face would be more painful for them that way.
The elevator reached the tenth-floor CEO’s office. As the doors opened, Tracy saw Yvonne and Quincy leaving Sam’s office. Their expressions were both unpleasant, suggesting the discussion hadn’t gone well.
The two women froze when they saw Tracy approach. Neither seemed to have expected her to be there.
When Tracy reached Quincy, she glanced sideways at her and reminded her, “Quincy, don’t think that the internet has no memory and that no one remembers what you did back then. People like you, who repay kindness with enmity, won’t have a good ending. Don’t you agree?”.
Whenever she saw Quincy now, she was reminded of the scene of her uncle being wrongfully imprisoned and his dispirited look after being released. Thinking of those past events, she wished she could choke Quincy right then, but I can’t. Murder is a crime, and implicating herself for such a wretched person wouldn’t be worth it.
Quincy’s face went pale upon hearing this. She hadn’t expected Tracy to still remember the past after so long. She unconsciously tightened her grip on Yvonne’s hand and said with a trembling voice, “Tracy, you shouldn’t talk nonsense. If you have evidence, present it. Without evidence, I can absolutely sue you for slander. If you make a big deal of this, you will be held legally responsible.”
She had only been thirteen or fourteen back then, an age where she didn’t know anything. She had simply done what her parents told her. Because Riley had helped their family years ago, they had targeted him. The false accusation of indecent assault of a minor was entirely orchestrated by her parents to extort money from Riley. Their original intention was to settle for a payment privately. No one expected Riley to feel he had done nothing wrong and prefer to be wrongfully imprisoned rather than pay. The court eventually ruled, and the Faust family was forced to pay them compensation.
At the time, she was just too terrified. For a long time, she was plagued by guilt. She had pleaded with her parents, but they wouldn’t listen to her and insisted on going through with it. In their worst fight, she cried and begged her father to stop, but her punishment was being locked up and starved for days. Gradually, she stopped resisting. She felt powerless and just

let the matter unfold. She hadn’t anticipated the matter escalating so much that Riley was sentenced to prison. After her family took the money, they moved to a neighboring city and only moved back within the last two years. This was the first time she had randomly run into Tracy in ten years, and she hadn’t expected it to be under these circumstances.
“What did I say that got you so worked up?” Tracy moved closer to Quincy, a sarcastic smile curling her lips. “What’s wrong? Are you trying to hide something?” If she had the evidence, she would have sent them to jail long ago. Would she have let Quincy wander around in front of her? It was precisely because she lacked evidence that she hadn’t acted yet. Let her enjoy her good life for a little longer! The good days for villains are numbered. Once she gets the evidence, their fun will be over.
“Tracy, you…” Quincy’s face was flushed with anger, and her voice involuntarily rose.
Tracy made a shushing gesture, pointing to the secretaries whispering behind her, and said, “Are you sure you want to make a scene with me here?”
Quincy frowned, glanced at the people pointing fingers at them, and immediately fell silent.
The corners of Tracy’s mouth curved into a lovely arc. She pointed at Yvonne and said, “You haven’t learned a single trick from your cousin. just said that, and you’re already losing control? Do you know how brilliant her tactics are? She incited my two own older brothers to help her, a mistress, steal my husband. And she can maintain a straight face while bragging to the entire Xander family that she has a great boyfriend, and she high-profilely enters and exits various events with my husband.”
Saying this, Tracy leaned in further and continued, “Not only that, she even demanded that I comment on her and my husband’s affair.”
“Tell me, isn’t your cousin’s skill level high? I don’t think you’ll ever learn it, do you?”
She truly admired Yvonne for this-her acting was good, her tactics were advanced, and she never showed any flaws. However, no matter how clever the scheme, she had ways to deal with it, but she currently held Chandler in contempt. She simply didn’t want any entanglement with Yvonne. As long as the woman didn’t cause trouble in front of her, they could all coexist peacefully.
However, she would absolutely investigate the matter from back then to the very end. She wanted the Ginger family to pay a heavy price.
Yvonne’s face went white for a moment but quickly returned to normal. She merely glanced at Tracy, pursed her lips, and walked toward the elevator, bypassing Tracy completely. She didn’t want to admit that Tracy was her sister in front of so many people. If that information got out, her image as the Xander family’s sole eldest daughter would crumble. Falling into Tracy’s trap just to win a momentary argument was simply not worth it.
She had originally come today to discuss cooperation with Sam and ask him a few questions.

But Sam was extremely busy, taking one phone call after another, and had no time for her. She had been standing in his office for over an hour, and since he was still busy, he politely told her to come back another day. Having been turned away twice in a row, even with Yvonne’s good temper, she was brimming with suppressed anger. If once was an accident, twice was deliberate. Sam was clearly intentionally playing hard to get and refusing to discuss cooperation with them. As for why, she couldn’t figure it out.
It wasn’t until she walked past the secretaries that she heard them whispering something and paused.
“Look, Ms. Xander is up here to find Mr. Zach again. Their relationship must be really close; they can’t go a day without seeing each other.”
“Tell me about it. She has the skill to snag a wealthy and good-looking man like Mr. Zach, who even gives her special treatment. That’s something we can only envy.”
“Before she came, we never heard that Mr. Zach had a girlfriend. As soon as she arrived, the company rumor mill started, and Mr. Zach still hasn’t confirmed their relationship. Do you think Mr. Zach is just playing around with her?”
“Probably not! I heard Mr. Zach custom-ordered a gown worth tens of millions for her. He even took her to Mr. Waylon’s banquet yesterday. You can see how much Mr. Zach values her.”
