During lunch, Natalie pulled Tracy aside and asked, “Tracy, what was that thing you wanted me to join you in?” She felt much better after being deceived by that jerk for so long and finally returning home to the warmth of her family. Remembering Tracy’s talk of getting rich, she wanted to ask more about it, thinking perhaps she really could strike it rich with her best friend.
Tracy lowered her voice and said to Natalie, “My senior has a project that needs investors. I discussed it with him yesterday. If you are willing to contribute capital, you can get shares in our Vector Tech. You’ll be in charge of the finances. How about that?” She knew Natalie had some savings over the years, and lending her a bit more would be perfectly fine.
Natalie nodded almost without thinking. “That’s great! I’ve wanted to do this for a long time. This is the best opportunity, and I definitely won’t miss it. Tracy, you really are my lucky star! I was just wondering what to do, and you’ve already sorted it out for me. I love you so much!”
After leaving that jerk, she wanted to live a better life. Her parents gave her a sum of money without a second thought, telling her to go out and make a name for herself.
Sam extended his hand and said with a smile, “Vector Tech welcomes you.”
Natalie reached out and shook his hand, tears welling up in her eyes. “Thank you and Tracy for helping me. Otherwise, I really don’t know what I would have done.”
Tracy squeezed Natalie’s hand as if encouraging her. “Doing well at Vector Tech is the best way to thank us.”
She turned her head, however, and met Sean’s profound gaze, giving her the distinct feeling of being seen through. Why is this a little awkward?
After lunch, they all left one after another. Tracy stayed until the evening, tidying up all her mother’s belongings. She found many papers clipped inside a diary. Tracy looked through the pages one by one. It turned out to be fragmented evidence her mother had collected after her uncle was framed, but the material was incomplete and thus could not pose any threat to the Ginger family. She put these items into her bag to use as evidence to bring down the Ginger family later. She would not let that family of vampires go.
It was already eight o’clock in the evening when she got home. As soon as she arrived, she saw another incoming call from Hailey. She decisively hung up and promptly blacklisted the number.
Natalie acted fast. In less than two days, she invested capital directly, quickly adjusted her mindset, and entered the work state. Soon, Samheld a two-hour-long meeting centered on the thesis Tracy had written. The funding for the last project had just been secured, and the next one was already being intensely planned. It was going smoothly beyond imagination.

As the meeting drew to a close, Sam stood up, pointing to Tracy as he introduced her. “Let me introduce you all to Ms. Xander, who wrote the core thesis for this project. I’d like Ms. Xander to be the lead engineer for this project. Does anyone have an objection?”
Everyone was astonished but quickly shook their heads. Regardless of how amazing Tracy’s thesis was, even if Tracy had no skills at all, they wouldn’t dare object as long as she had the boss backing her up!
The moment this was said, the conference room became silent enough to hear a pin drop, especially the secretary waiting by the side to pour tea. When did Tracy’s ability become so strong? Could it be that they had misunderstood Trac all along, and she got into the company based on her ability, not on a man? Although the secretary didn’t understand the technical jargon, judging from the astonishment of the people in the conference room, Tracy’s thesis was indeed excellent. Ouch, being slapped in the face hurts!
Exhausted after working until closing time, Tracy dragged her tired body home. The elevator door had just opened when Tracy saw an elegantly dressed woman standing by the door. Because the woman was standing right outside her apartment, Tracy took a few extra glances, confirming she didn’t know her. She walked over and politely asked the woman, “Excuse me, who are you looking for?”
The woman saw Tracy, and a trace of disdain flashed in her eyes but quickly returned to normal. She smoothed the hair by her ear and frankly said to Tracy, “Ms. Xander, I’m here for you.”
For her? Tracy sized up the woman in front of her again. After confirming again that she didn’t know her, she asked doubtfully, “Excuse me, do we know each other?”
Julie curved her lips into a smile. “I am Sean’s fiancée.”
Tracy’s hand, fumbling for her keys, paused. So it’s the White family’s eldest daughter. Rumor had it that the two families had an engagement. It was true, then. For someone as nearly perfect as Sean, an arranged marriage with a prominent family was inevitable, so there was nothing strange about it.
After opening the door, Tracy invited Julie to sit down and went to pour her a glass of water. “Is there something you need to see me about?”
Julie sat on the sofa, surveying Tracy’s apartment. To be honest, she hadn’t expected Tracy to be so calm after she revealed her identity. Was she overthinking things? After some thought, Julie still asked, “Ms. Xander, what is your relationship with Sean?”
Tracy dropped onto the sofa opposite Julie and explained, “Five years ago, he accidentally fell off a cliff, and my uncle and I rescued him.” Her meaning was obvious: Sean was helping her out of gratitude, not in the way Julie might be misunderstanding. Since the woman had come knocking, Tracy wasn’t stupid. She must have found some clues to come and question her. She had wanted to do the same thing when she discovered Chandler’s infidelity, but
