Sean shot him a cool, even look. “You should leave now.”
Chris instantly switched to a more deferential expression. “Alright, fine, no more teasing. You’re seriously sensitive; you can’t even take a joke.”
It was finally his chance to mock Sean, and he wanted to enjoy it, but he had barely started before being threatened twice.
Three strikes and I’m out. I’m genuinely worried he’s going to toss months of my hard work out the window.
Tracy finished tidying herself up. When she came out of the bathroom, she saw an unfamiliar guest. She opened her mouth to ask who he was.
Sean suddenly put the cup of ginger tea into her hands. The heat warmed her palms, making her feel instantly comforted.
Sean spoke up right then. “I hear this helps with period pain. You should drink it.”
Hearing the words “period pain,” Tracy was stunned for several seconds. She took a small sip, then looked up to meet Chris’s knowing, playful gaze.
His look definitely suggests he thinks we’re dating.
Chris greeted Tracy cordially. “Hello, I’m Chris, a friend of Sean’s.”
Tracy smiled back. “Hello, Tracy.”
