Chapter 99 Thinking of Sean When Asked About Her Love Interest
Tracy was too scared to speak after being scolded by the nurse because she knew the nurse was upset that the elderly lady, at her age, had to be pricked again.
After the nurse successfully re-inserted the IV, she left. Tracy looked at Grandma, who was resting with her eyes closed, her heart a tangled mess of emotions.
Linda saw that Tracy was there to watch, and the elderly lady was asleep, so she told Tracy, “It’s almost noon. I’ll go back and make lunch and bring it over later.”
“Okay,” Tracy nodded.
She quietly watched Grandma’s face, occasionally looking up at the IV bag above her head, being careful not to disturb the sleeping woman
Her mind returned to what happened on the rooftop. The doctor seemed to want to reveal Grandma’s condition, but Grandma had rushed out and stopped him. She seems to be hiding something from me.
This made her feel very uneasy. Grandma’s health was poor, but no one in the family truly knew her real condition.
She used to think Grandma was deliberately hiding it. Now, thinking back, the Xander family had simply never genuinely cared about Grandma’s health.
Grandma’s leg wasn’t even healed, yet they couldn’t wait to go traveling. It showed they truly didn’t care about Grandma’s well-being.
Sometimes, she truly felt sorry for Grandma. She worked tirelessly her whole life, and now that she is old and sick, no one is there to look after her.
It’s truly sad.
By the time Linda came back, Grandma had just woken up. Tracy helped Grandma sit up and placed a pillow behind her back. Linda pulled the savory oats out of the thermos. They smelled appetizing. Tracy took the bowl, intending to sit down and feed Grandma.
Linda took the oats back, urging Tracy, “It’s almost one o’clock now. You should hurry and eat. I can feed the elderly lady.”
Linda’s reminder made Tracy realize her stomach was starting to feel uncomfortable. Without being pretentious, she took her food out of the thermos and went to the side to eat.
Linda was a very good cook, and Tracy ate more than usual, though she knew she couldn’t

overeat or she would feel sick. She dumped the leftovers in the trash can by the door, washed the food container, and walked back in.

Tracy obediently walked over, handed the food container to Linda, and sat by Sarah’s bedside.

Sarah reached out and held Tracy’s hand, asking tentatively, “Tracy, be honest with me. Do you have someone you like now?”
Someone I like? The first face Tracy thought of was Sean’s distinguished and handsome one.
Perhaps I haven’t even realized it myself, but every time I used to think of someone I liked, I thought of Chandler first.
I don’t know when it started, but that person in my mind had changed to Sean. I hadn’t even consciously realized it.

My Tracy has truly grown up and found someone she likes. She was greatly comforted.

“It’s Sea City’s annual technology exhibition. I managed to get two invitations, so I can take you along to meet some industry elites.”
