They weren’t even there when her mother died. They only showed up for the funeral later. And even at the funeral, they still had that same arrogant, condescending attitude.
“They did offer to let me come back to the Xander family. But the condition was that I was not to ‘compete’ with Yvonne for anything. If I did, they would throw me out.”
Her heart was dead by then. She didn’t go back with them. And it was right at that time that Chandler proposed.

You blame us for treating Yvonne well and ignoring you, but have you ever considered that you are the one with the problem? I remember you being so well-behaved as a child-obedient and sensible. Why did you turn out like this?”
They say a leopard can’t change its spots. Tracy was probably like this all along, even as a child. They just hadn’t seen it.
At this thought, Jared felt deeply disappointed in Tracy. His sister should be like Yvonne.
Gentle, sensible, and empathetic… always bringing them so much joy. Who wouldn’t love a sister like that?

Since you looked down on me that much, and were so terrified I would bully her… what kind of idiot would I have to be to go back with you?”
