“I’m willing to overlook the fact that she just tried to accuse me first. But she slandered me, claiming she caught me and my direct supervisor in the office engaged in… ‘indescribable’ activities. As you know, for a woman, her reputation is incredibly important. For her to slander me like this without a shred of evidence. I will not accept a settlement.”
As she spoke, the corners of her eyes reddened. From Officer Jorge’s angle, it looked as though she had been angered to the point of tears.
Officer Jorge’s expression immediately darkened. He said to Quincy in a grim voice, “Please come with us.”
Quincy seemed to collapse. She grabbed Yvonne’s arm, her voice pleading, “Yvonne, I don’t want to go to jail! Please, save me!”
Quincy’s grip was painful. Yvonne stood up, frowning, and said to Officer Jorge, “Officer Jorge, my cousin was just making a bad joke. There’s really no need to involve the police over this. I’m sorry to have wasted your time. I’ll have my cousin apologize to Ms. Xander immediately and explain herself. That should resolve this.”
She really hadn’t expected Tracy to actually call the police, or that Sean would let her be so willful. You couldn’t get into the Garden Pavilion without a reservation, which meant someone must have given an order to specifically allow the police to enter.
So, on the surface, Sean didn’t seem overly concerned with Tracy’s affairs. But in reality, he was unconditionally supporting her every move behind the scenes.

Officer Jorge ignored Yvonne, keeping his gaze #xed on Tracy. “Ms. Xander, this lady says she will have Ms. Ginger apologize to you. Do you agree to settle this?”
Tracy answered almost without hesitation. “I do not.”
With those words, Tracy blocked Quincy’s only escape route. She went completely limp, collapsing into her chair.
With the police present, and the Johnson family’s golden boy backing her, no one dared to speak up for Quincy.
Chandler, who had been toying with his wine glass, suddenly looked at Officer Jorge. He said in an ambiguous tone, “Officer Jorge, this hardly qualifies as a criminal matter, does it? It’s an issue that can be resolved with a simple apology. Why escalate it to the station, wouldn’t you agree?”
Officer Jorge finally recognized Chandler. He had to give face to the CEO of Gaunt Corp. But the victim wasn’t willing to settle, so what could he do? He knew they were on the Johnson family’s golden boy’s territory, and they only got in, in all likelihood, with Sean’s permission.
What did that mean? It meant this Ms. Xander was not simple, and she was clearly connected to the Johnson family.
Both sides were people he couldn’t afford to offend. For a moment, Officer Jorge was completely stuck.
Tracy hadn’t expected Chandler to suddenly speak up for Quincy. She paused for half a second, then said coldly, “Quincy’s actions constitute a personal attack. Are you saying that doesn’t carry criminal liability? I am simply trying to protect my rights, and every single one of you is defending her. Are you all ganging up on me because you think I have no one on my side? No matter what you say, I am not settling. If this has to be blown up, it will be. She was determined to see this through. She couldn’t stand Quincy. The girl was like a weed in the mud, yet she acted like an unkillable cockroach, taking every single chance she got to jump out and attack her.
If she didn’t teach Quincy a lesson, the girl would really think she could get away with anything with just an apology.
At the mention of Renee, Chandler’s face instantly turned cold. “Ms. Xander, you seem to enjoy taking things too far, don’t you?”
