Chapter 125 Regret Nothing

He hadn’t expected Tracy to be staying next door. It seemed that ever since she left Gaunt Corp, she had become completely different from before.
Tracy’s spite toward him was also getting out of hand; she had actually gone through with the divorce.
However, this incident made him suspect that Tracy was starting to get restless and was about to stir up drama in front of him again. He’d stood there for a moment and concluded there was no way Tracy could have lost her feelings for him so quickly.
But just as he was about to approach them, he happened to hear Tracy insulting him, and his face instantly darkened.
“Tracy!” Chandler’s face was grim, and he chastised her sternly, “Do you even know what you’re saying?”
Tracy met Chandler’s slight anger head–on, unyielding, and countered with a smile, “Mr. Gaunt, did I say anything wrong?”
Chandler stared at Tracy, searching her face for the pretense he knew lay beneath her forced bravado. But he found no trace of it. All he saw was indifference, as if she were looking at a stranger. The use of “Mr. Gaunt” certainly severed any remaining tie between them. She’s still not over it?
Good.
“Don’t you regret this,” Chandler dropped the warning, then took out his card, swiped it, and entered the room next door.
Lincoln and Perry exchanged looks, then began to lecture Tracy. “You’ve gone and made Chandler angry again. Why do you do this? Getting into a fight with Chandler just to prove a point will only make you look bad in the end. You really need to find a way to make up with him, or your relationship will just get worse.”
He clearly saw Chandler was furious, but Tracy, for the first time ever, hadn’t tried to soothe him. This proved their problem was quite serious this time. This woman is too dramatic! Her attempts at being cold are full of holes. She’s probably trying to give us a hint on purpose!
Perry echoed Lincoln’s sentiment. “That’s right. Chandler is busy with work. You should be understanding. not constantly causing him trouble. After all, an excellent man like Chandler needs a capable, virtuous wife, not a suspicious woman who only knows how to check up on him and follow him. He works so hard. only to come home to your irrational unpleasantness. Anyone would get angry.”
He felt he had been very clear. He hoped Tracy was clever enough to understand his meaning. She was a smart woman; she would surely catch on quickly.
Tracy looked at their hypocritical faces, her contempt deepening. “I never realized how truly shameless you two are, making a man’s cheating sound so dignified and proper. I truly hope that when your girlfriends cheat on you someday, you’ll have the same profound understanding and sympathy for them.”
“After all,” she continued, her lips curving, “the boomerang only hurts when it hits you. Wouldn’t you agree?”
Seeing their expressions turn increasingly ugly. Tracy added. “You keep calling me sister–in–law Does

Yvonne know about this? If she knew you acknowledged me as your sister–in–law while she’s right there, wouldn’t she be angry? To avoid unnecessary trouble, you should both leave immediately. If Yvonne sees you, Chandler’s little scandal might not stay a secret. And going forward, stop trying to get my attention. Your current sister–in–law is Yvonne, not me. Understand?
After saying this, Tracy didn’t wait for their reactions and slammed the door shut.
The thought of those two lovebirds right next door made Tracy feel disgusted. To run into them and be so close on a business trip was truly bad luck.
Fortunately, she hadn’t unpacked. There was still time to switch rooms. She called Sam.
He picked up after a moment. “Tracy, what’s wrong?”
Tracy considered her words, then said, “Can I switch rooms with you?”
Sam asked with concern, “Did something happen?”
She answered honestly, “No. It’s just that Chandler and Yvonne are staying next door, and I find it deeply unpleasant.”
There was a moment of silence, then he replied, “I’ll have the front desk send a key card up to you. Just take your suitcase and move to my room. I’ll take yours.”
“Thank you,” she said.
She hung up and sat on the sofa, waiting for the attendant to bring the key card.
The hotel staff was quick. Within ten minutes, a service attendant brought Tracy the key card.
The attendant handed the card to Tracy, a professional smile on his face. “Ms. Xander, this key card is from Mr. Zach. Mr. Zach also asked us to help you move your luggage and bring his to this room. Is this your luggage?”
Tracy was slightly stunned, then nodded. “Thank you both.”
