I sat on my bed with my back against the wall, knees pulled up, blanket bunched uselessly around my waist.
The room was quiet except for my heart beating faster than normal.
Maya had been beside me since afternoon. She most definitely had suspected that something was wrong with me and had only left now because she wants to use the toilet.
“Okay,” I muttered to myself. “Think.”
I stared at my hands. According to the story Liza told me, the time zone of what happened is almost the same as to when my adopted parents found me.
