After exchanging pleasantries with them, Yvonne finally looked up at Tracy. She’s a freaking nobody. No matter how well Tracy pleased Sam, what good was it? People in this circle didn’t recognize identity; they only acknowledged ability. If you lacked skill, even the best connections were useless–you were only fit to be a background figure.
Andy was seeing Yvonne for the first time. He looked at Chandler in confusion. “Mr. Gaunt, who is this lady next to you?”
Chandler turned slightly and generously introduced Yvonne. “This is the eldest daughter of Xander Corp, Yvonne, who is also a doctoral student at Northville University.”
As soon as he spoke, someone exclaimed, “I think I’ve heard of Yvonne. Not only is she a Northville University doctoral student, but she has also made significant contributions to the school’s AI project. She has participated in the development of many AI medical intelligence projects and has won many awards. She is a rare talent. I heard that after graduation, she joined her family’s technology company. Xander Corp has an unlimited future!”
Listening to the person’s praise, Yvonne merely smiled and turned her gaze to Tracy. She thought Tracy would be embarrassed, but Tracy didn’t seem to care at all, chatting about other topics with Sam.
I underestimated Tracy.
Tracy simply avoided the AI–related topics she didn’t understand and talked about other things with Sam, smoothly sidestepping any potential embarrassment.
Soon, Yvonne had no time to mind Tracy, as the executives quickly started discussing professional issues with her. She instantly entered the conversation, conf ‘v answering their questions one by one.
Watching his sister shine, Jared was immensely pleased, even feeling a sense of pride. Chase lifted his chin proudly, feeling great pleasure when he saw Tracy appearing to run away in defeat. She knew she was professionally inferior to Yvonne, so she ran faster than a rabbit. He was embarrassed for her.
Tracy was unaware of Chase’s thoughts because Sam had spotted an acquaintance and pulled her over to meet him.
Sam saw his senior, Gregory, and pulled Tracy along, as he wanted to introduce them.
He pulled Tracy towards Gregory. “Long time no see!”
Gregory also saw Sam. He nodded to the people who were complimenting him and walked over, patting Sam’s shoulder. “It has been a while. How have you been recently?”

Noticing Tracy’s presence, Gregory asked Sam curiously, “And this is?”
“She is Z, our junior,” Sam did not hide the truth and directly stated Tracy’s other identity.
After Sam’s introduction, Gregory looked Tracy up and down. Her smoky–gray mermaid dress accentuated her slender waist, outlining her beautiful curves. He had to admit Tracy was stunning; even with light makeup, she was captivating. He didn’t know Tracy personally, but almost no one in the circle, including international circles, was unaware of the name Z, which always elicited praise.
However, no one had ever met the real Z. It was truly a surprise that she turned out to be his junior sister.
Thinking of this, Gregory extended his hand to Tracy. “So you are the professor’s only female student! I’ve heard that the professor has a very outstanding female student. Seeing is believing! I never expected you to be Z. Hello, I’m Gregory.”
Tracy extended her hand and shook Gregory’s. “You flatter me.”
She didn’t know how many students the professor had, and she didn’t know many of them. Since Sam introduced them, she now knew another senior. She didn’t mind Sam revealing her identity to Gregory. Since they were both the professor’s students, there was no need to hide anything.
Gregory looked at Tracy with some confusion. “Since your ability was already so outstanding four years ago, why haven’t we heard about any other research and development projects from you in all these years?”
This was what he was most curious about. He knew the professor’s students were all top–notch. But there were only two as talented as Tracy, and the other was a senio heard the professor mention their achievements, but he never expect
dn’t met. He often
nior to be Z.
Tracy gave an awkward smile. “Due to some personal matters, I haven’t been able to achieve anything in recent years. I feel I have let the professor down.”
As for what “personal matters” they were, Tracy did not elaborate, nor did she want to say more. After all, she was not someone who liked to seek pity, nor would she discuss her private life with a new acquaintance.
Gregory nodded in understanding and said nothing further.
At this point, some people nearby noticed Gregory’s arrival and quickly gathered around them.
